'Love is a game that two can play and both win.'- Eva Gabor
She was broken. She won't know how she was going to survive. He just turned and walked out of her life forever. 'What kind of man, what kind of mate, does that to another?' Quickly picking up her t-shirt and shorts she put them on.
"Oh don't think this was anything special Summer, Chloe is on her way up here now, so I'll be more than satisfied after she leaves."
Tyler said as Summer nodded and made her way out of his room. She had just given him the most precious gift one could give another...her virginity. And now here she was, being tossed aside for another model, this was all a game to him. He just wanted to see how much he could break her. Well, she would rather die than give him the satisfaction of knowing that he had hurt her...more than anyone ever could, more than anyone ever had.
"I shall tell the elders that I made a mistake and that Chloe was my true mate and Luna."
Tyler said breaking her even further if that was even possible.
"And I guess now is a good time as any to let you know that you're not even Ryan's daughter. Don't you wonder why you look so different from your sister?"
Tyler said Summer felt the walls closing in on her. She was even her father's daughter, it couldn't be true she was fundamentally different from her mother and her father, and even her sister. But it can't be true they want to keep such a big secret from her right? The only place to find the answer is at home. Before she leave she turned and looked at Tyler.
"You will regret your words Alpha Tyler."
Summer said as she left the room on a high run wanting to avoid everyone. She burst home.
"Summer Rose-Ann Smith, where have you been?"
Her mother Cassandra asked as she looked at her. Just did her father walk in?
"Summer, where have you been?"
Beta Ryans asked as Summer looked down at the floor. Just then her sister Caitlin walked in. Summer looked at her and then looked over her image.
"How could I have not seen it? How did I not realize that that's why I was treated differently from everyone else in the pack?"
Summer said as Beta Ryans and Cassandra looked at her confused.
"Summer, what are you talking about?"
Beta Ryans asked as tears spilled out of her eyes.
"I'm not your real daughter!"
Summer shouted at the top of her lungs as Beta Ryans and Cassandra stared at her shell shocked.
"Caitlyn go to your room."
Beta Ryans said that she looked as if she was about to argue.
"Caitlin do as you are told."
Beta Ryan's said using a Beta command on her.
"Cassandra looked about some tea, it's going to be a long night."
Beta Ryans said as Cassandra got up and did as he asked. Beta Ryans motioned Summer to sit at the table.
"I'm going to tell you the truth. I wanted to tell you years ago but from the moment I held you in my arms as an infant, I knew you were my child, no matter whose blood you may have."
Beta Ryan said as Cassandra put down the tea she was drinking.
"It was 16 years ago and Alpha Daniel and I caught a rogue scent on our territory. That's where we met Ann, your biological mother, who was about to give birth to you. We brought her to the hospital here and she gave birth to you, but she didn't make it. Cassandra and I adopted you as our own."
Beta Ryan said as she took everything in. When rogues die they are usually burnt which means...
"What happened to my mother's body?"
Summer asked as Beta Ryan took her hand
"We buried her in the pack cemetery. She was the only rogue to be buried there. Since we decided to adopt you into the pack, we also accepted your mom and we gave her a proper burial"
Beta Ryan said as Summer nodded
"I want to go see her, where she is buried?"
Summer asked as Beta Ryan gave her the direction to take her to the cemetery. Bolting out of the house she ran to ward the cemetery and began reading the headstone of all buried there until she found it. A simple headstone with her name Rose and the day she died...my birthday 15 years ago. She had killed her mother. Summer allowed the tears to fall freely. It was a result of a combination of things...her failure as a daughter and her failure as a mate. The wolf that was made for her didn't even want her. There must be something so wrong with her that everyone around her tried to reject her.
"I'm so sorry Mom. I killed you. I know that. I thought you would like to know that I found my mate, an Alpha, but he doesn't want me. I have to leave though. I want you to know that they took good care of me here. I was never abused and I wanted for nothing. "
Summer said as she placed a lone rose on her grave.
"I love you, mom."
Summer said as she turned and went back home.
"Summer are you okay?"
Beta Ryans asked as she nodded and hugged him while crying.
"I love you too Mom and Dad and Caitlin too, but I can't stay."
Summer said as Beta Ryans looked at her skeptically.
"Summer, what are you talking about? We love you regardless, we have always loved you regardless."
Cassandra said but Summer shook her head.
"It's not you, more has happened than you think or know. It's not your fault so don't think it is."
Summer said as Caitlin walked up to her
"So what about me?"
Caitlyn asked as Summer hugged her.
"I love you Caitlyn, but I have to go. I can't stay any longer. This isn't home."
Summer said as they hugged her even tighter.
"Summer, go to the Silver Moon Pack. Tell them that Alpha Logan and Beta Malcolm sent you. At least I will know where you are and that you are safe."
Beta Smith said as Summer nodded. At least she had somewhere safe to go. Somewhere where she and the little peanut growing inside her will be safe.
"I agree. But under one condition. Tell no one where I am. Not the Alpha, not Tyler, no one."
Summer said as she turned to pack her things. Emerging downstairs she hugged all her family members and turned to them all. This was probably the last time she would ever be with her family.
"I love you all."
She said as the cab waited to take her to her new pack. She couldn't wait. It was just the breath of fresh air that she needed. This cab represented her freedom. She was free from Tyler and all the pain her has caused her. She knew that whatever happened next she would bring that Alpha to his knees. What she didn't know was that a part of that Alpha grew within her. But as drove down the driveway she turned around and watched the pack house get smaller and smaller. Oddly the further away she got the freer she felt.
