28.Under Rome's Protection💫

"So that is how you shift, you use aggression to control it."

Rome said as he tried to give her a crash course on being a werewolf.

"Okay, so aggression controls the shift, got you."

Camille said as she ran as fast as she could, jumped into the air, and shifted mid-air. She ripped her dress to pieces and landed right in front of Rome. A fully formed wolf.

"Beautiful."

He said as she gaited around him.

'Shift, I want to see you.'

Camille said through their mind link as Rome nodded and obliged. Within seconds, he stood as a beautiful black wolf in front of her. Tall, lean, and muscular. Is calves were the size of tires and he was as tall as a Hummer. Standing beside him she felt dwarfed. Then Camille walked up to him. It was the first time she has have ever been so close to him in that form.

'Honey'

He smelt the thick, rich, creamy scent of honey surrounding her. He wanted to possess her, for her to be there he breathes. He couldn't believe it, Logan was right. She was his mate.

"I did it Rome. I am a wolf. Want to race?"

She asked as she sprinted towards the forest before Rome's synapses regained full control of his senses.

"Wait!"

He screamed as he sprinted after her. Earlier that morning he had scented Silverback wolves that had encroached on their territory.

"Camille!"

He called out that she continued running into the forest. She was new to the rules of the pack and needed to stop right now before she crossed into silverback territory.

"Stop now!"

Rome shorted as he watched her stop at the edge of the stream. That was the border between their territories.

"Camille, I'm not joking let's go back to the house it isn't safe here."

Rome warned as he watched Camille start to cross the river. Rome sent up a howl for Logan and the other pack members, but it also alerted the SilverBack Pack that they were at the border. It wasn't until the first wolf appear that Camille recognize how much danger she was in. There were four wolves and they all looked at her like she was dessert.

"Well, well, well what do we have here?"

A man asked as he shifted from his reform to human.

"I was just leaving."

Camille said as she turned back human and stated before the man. Embarrassed she tried to hide as a man and his pack began to laugh at her.

"What kind of wolf are you? One that is a shame of her nudity?"

He said as Rome transformed back into a human.

"Leave her the fuck alone."

He said so literally that the man took a step back.

"Let's introduce ourselves, I'm Kahlil and those two are Nathan and Jack."

He said as Rome's eyes narrowed.

"I'm Rome, she's none of your business now get the fuck off my Alpha's territory."

Rome said as they sneered at him.

"We have no Alpha."

Khalil said proudly right as Logan made his appearance. Ignoring the nudity of his daughter and Rome he focused on three outcasts in front of him. One by one the other members of the pack started to appear; Emily, Simone, and Quinn all appeared in their wolf forms.

"As you see, we do. If it is a fight you want then that is what you shall get."

Logan said as he watched them run away like the cowards they were. As soon as they were gone he turned to the rest of the pack

"Everyone go home."

He commanded angrily as everyone started to obey his command.

"Except for you two. I need a word."

He said as he handed room and Camille a pair of clothes. He gave them the privacy to dress and wait for them by the water's edge.

"What you two did tonight was a very stupid thing. What were you both thinking?"

Logan yelled at Rome and Camille as Rome's eyes dropped to the floor.

"Apologies Alpha, the blame is mine."

Rome said as Camille looked at him in shock.

"You are not acting responsibly."

Logan said angrily as Camille matched up to her dad.

"But it wasn't his fault. I ran off even though he tried to warn me I didn't stop."

Camille said as Logan looked at them both.

"No, it is my fault I shouldn't have taken you so close to the Silverback Pack."

Rome said as Logan shook his head smiling.

"You're both very lucky to be alive. I'm just glad you're both unharmed. So Cam you can shift, how did it feel?"

Logan asks Camille smiled.

"Awesome, but a bit humiliated now that I am naked in my human form."

Camille said as Logan cleared his throat.

"Oh brought you both a blanket that would have to do until we reach home."

Logan said as Rome and Camille wrapped themselves in the blankets.

"So how does it feel to have done your first shift?"

Rome whispered Camille smiled

"Infinite."

She said as he knew exactly what she meant. He had been there before. He wrapped an arm around her and used his body to help keep her warm.

"Thanks."

She muttered as he nodded. Her honey sing threatened to overload his synapsis, but he had to keep it together. After all her father was mere meters away from them.

"Thank you for what you did back there."

She said I can't sleep as he realized she had fallen fast asleep on his shoulder. Scooping her into his arms Logan looked around and smiled.

"She's something else ain't she?"

Logan said as the room nodded. He looked at Camille and

"That she is."
