Chapter 2

Ayanna is currently at Melissa's house.

"I can't believe he let you spend the night.", said Melissa.

"Well about that", Ayanna said as she sat in Melissa's computer chair. "He didn't. His girlfriend told me come and that she will talk to him about it whenever he gets back home"

"Well hopefully homegirl knows how to work her magic", said Melissa.

"Hopefully, but until then I need to nap. Can I sleep at the end of your bed?", asked Ayanna.

"Of course", Melissa replied.

Ayanna stood up and walked to the bed and laid down.

Later that evening, Ayanna and Melissa were getting ready to go to the party

Ayanna came out and the bathroom and into Melissa's room.

"How does this look?", asked Ayanna.

Ayanna had on a oversized pink graphic tee with Tupac on it and some leggings.

"Girl, go in my closet and get that yellow crop top that you complimented me on last month", said Melissa.

"What's wrong with this?", asked Ayanna.

"This is a party. It's going to hot. Besides, Corey doesn't wanna see you in a over sized tee. Show off your figure", said Melissa.

"...that shirt was cute", said Ayanna.

"Yes, so put it on", said Melissa as she sat down and started finishing up her makeup.

Ayanna went into Melissa's closet and grabbed the shirt and left the room to go to the bathroom to change.

After they got ready, they took Ayanna's car to the party because she was the one parked behind Melissa.

Once they got to the party, Melissa was already talking to everybody she saw. Melissa is an out going person so she knew everyone from their school and from other schools.

"This is my best friend, Ayanna", said Melissa.

"Hey girl", said the girl that Melissa was talking to.

"Hey", said Ayanna.

Suddenly, Corey came up behind Ayanna walked her to the side.

"Ay you better make sure you keep my friend safe. He dad's a cop", said Melissa.

Ayanna and Corey chuckled a little.

"Finally", he said as he held her hand as they walked somewhere to sit. "I get to hang out with you"

"I know I know...it's been long over due", she said.

Corey and Ayanna aren't dating. They've known each other since middle school but they just started talking on the level of being interested in each other 4 months ago.

"Lonnggggg over due", he emphasized.

Ayanna smiled.

"You look good", he said.

"Thank you", said Ayanna

Corey sat down and sat Ayanna on his lap.

"I miss we could've just went on a date, instead of being a party. I actually wanna show you how interested I am in you.", he said.

"I mean like you can still do that now", said Ayanna.

"Yea but it's loud and well it's a party. It isn't a date, ya know. I wanna take you to movies or out to eat or just somewhere", he said. "But you're pops ain't gonna let that happen huh?"
