Alyssa is currently tailing behind Brian's car.
"You really think he doesn't see us following him", said Ayanna.
"I don't care. Grandma's on the phone with the police. She has her car's location so she'll tell them where we are", said Alyssa.
Brian stopped the car and when Alyssa realized that he stopped, she stopped.
Brian got out do the car and walked to the passenger seat of the car that Alyssa and Ayanna were in.
Brian tried to open the door but it was locked.
Ayanna cracked the window open.
"Open the fucking door", Brian demanded.
"No", said Ayanna.
Brian hit the door.
"Open the fucking door!", Brian shouted as he hit it again.
"Drive", said Ayanna.
"No. We have to stay until the police comes", said Alyssa.
Brian grabbed his gun and started to shoot the window.
"Drive!", Ayanna shouted.
Alyssa sped off.
"Thank you", Brian said before walking back to his car.
He actually wanted them to stop following him so he could get to his destination. The only way to do that was to scare them off.
Brian got into the car.
"Please don't hurt them", said Diamond sobbing. "They're just trying to—"
"Trying to what? Help? Help what? You're good because I'm taking care of you right?", asked Brian. "I'm taking care of my wife"
Diamond closed her eyes as she laid her head against the window.
"Right!?", he asked.
"Right", Diamond answered.
Brian started driving.
"I was just saying that they don't understand what's going on and they have the wrong idea. We love each other", said Diamond. "...you've been trying to care for me in every way possible."
"Exactly", said Brian. "Besides I'd never hurt her"
Diamond opened her eyes.
"But when you're scared or mad you do the unthinkable", she said. "I just don't want her to see that side of you...I mean like she hasn't right?"
Brian didn't say anything to her.
"Please tell me you didn't hit her. You promised me", Diamond cried.
"No...it's just that...well she saw me do something I haven't done in a long time", said Brian.
"...what?", asked Diamond.
"I got upset with somebody and I beat them", said Brian.
"Another woman?", asked Diamond.
Brian nods.
"...what about us?", asked Diamond.
Diamond doesn't really wanna be associated with Brian. She just puts up a front to make sure his anger doesn't go through the roof.
"I got rid of her", said Brian.
"What do you mean got rid of her?", asked Diamond.
"We ended things between each other", said Brian.
Diamond looked out of the window and saw police cars speed past them.
"Diamond...I know that what I've done is inexcusable but...I just wanna say that I feel bad about what I've done. You're right. I do the unthinkable when I'm upset or mad and I can't help it...I need help"
"That's all I ever wanted you to do Brian. All I ever wanted for you to do is get help so we could fix our marriage", said Diamond. "...you didn't get help so that's the reason I left"
"I want you to help me", said Brian.
"Help you? I can't help myself right now Brian. I happy with you like I always say but...I'm dealing with something that I can't shake. I need as much help as you do", said Diamond.
"Let's— let's help each other alright. I just want things to be like normal", said Brian. "Like how things used to be"
"It used to have Ayanna in the picture", said Diamond.
Brian didn't reply to that comment.
Diamond looked at her hand. He was handcuffed to the door of the car.
"I have children...two of them may not be yours but they're mine and I miss them. I miss them I want to see them", said Diamond. "I want them in my life..they keep pushing"
Brian looked at Diamond then back at the road.
"Stop talking", he said.
Diamond sighs.
Brian eventually makes it to a cabin. He got Diamond into the house and he laid her in the bed.
"I know you've been having trouble sleeping lately so take this", said Brian as he grab her a water and some pills.
Diamond looked at the pills then at him.
"What is it?", she asked.
"Just some sleep aid", he said with a slight smile. "Same ones you used to take"
Diamond hesitated for a little then she took the pills and drank water behind it. She hands the cup to Brian and Brian places the cup on the nightstand.
Brian crawled into bed next to her and held her close.
Diamond felt a little uncomfortable but at the same it took her back to the old days. She still wanted to do everything in her power to get away from him. She was done making excuses for him and he got out of hand. It was no more saving him.
Eventually Diamond finally fell asleep.
———-
The following morning Diamond woke up and saw Ayanna, Alyssa, and Zara laying on the floor passed out.
Diamond quickly sat up. She was handcuffed to the bed so it pulled her back. She got her arm right and sat up slower than before.
Brian walked into the room.
"Brian what did you do?", asked Diamond.
"You said they completed you so I brought them here with us", said Brian.
Diamond looked at the again. They had leg cuffs on their ankles and hands cuffs on their wrists.
"Brian...you kidnapped them. Legally they aren't mine anymore", said Diamond.
"Fuck it. They're yours. They have the records",
said Brian."Oh my gosh", Diamond said under her breath. "She didn't want them in this type of environment. Especially after not seeing them for so long. Everything was so emotional for Diamond but she didn't show it.
"I'm cooking breakfast. I hope Zara and um— and Alyssa like waffles", said Brian before walking out of the room.
