I want Mike's attention

Max's POV :

It has been a month since the parade incident. Although it seemed Mike and I ended on good terms.. I guess not since he gets hostile when im around Eleven. I dont.mind though since, in private, El and I have been "bonding". She has definitely gotta more bold. Nothing inappropriate of course.

All of us were in Mikes basement, El and I were watching the boys play DandD, Will's request.Even though Mike was in the room El was hugging my side and eating eggos. Yet even with me cuddled to her her eyes were only on Mike.

It made me wonder if she was serious about this.

Lucas didn't seem to mind as much as Mike did, I really loved him for that. Although he was still a dick about it sometimes."I WIN AGAIN" Will got up cheering for himself. Mike and Lucas seemed increasingly bored while Dustin cheered with Will. El got up hugged Will," You are the best at this!! You have to teach me". " Anything for the girl who helped save me", Will said with a smile. El smiled back and sat on the floor. Dustin sat next to her and began eating some chocolates, Eleven watching him eat them. Mike sat next to El wrapping his arms around her,"You don't look at me like that". El looked at him confused, " I like chocolate... you don't have it...but Dustin does." She turned her head to Dustin the boy whipped his mouth awkwardly, "I have more?.." She nodded and he gave her some brownies.

Will set out a pack of movies from a cupboard. "Remember these guys.." He looked at Mike,Lucas and Dustin, "The movies we watched when we were younger." "Oh yeah.. Do we have "Herbie Goes Bananas" in there?" Lucas got up. "Yeah we do!" Will said. " We should definitely watch that!" I said." Is it scary?" El asked. "It scared Will" Mike said smirking at Will. Will looked away,his face red. I didn't know if he was blushing or he was embarrassed. "I was only scared because of how insane the kids were. THEY TRAPPED CRIMINALS!!" Will defended himself. "We fought demodogs... Im pretty sure its worse" Dustin chuckled. " We should watch a Disney movie" Mike said. "Umm dude we are teenagers.. why disney?" I asked genuinely confused. "It sounds like a movie that El could watch without someone getting scared." Mike said referring to Will who covered himself in a blanket. "What is Disnee?" asked Eleven. "A franchise for children like Mike and Will" Lucas said putting in "Herbie Goes Bananas" in the DVD player. I giggled at his joke and sat next to Eleven. Mike immediately glared at me but looked away when Eleven glared at him.

Eleven's POV :

"Soooo do you like talking cars?" Max asked me. " I have no clue what you are saying.."
" Oh right. Well in this movie the car tries to talk if yk what I mean" She said smiling. I stayed quiet. "Are you okay.?" She asked me. " I think so" "What is that supposed to mean?" She said placing her hand on mine. " I... um.." I turned Mike and cuddled up to him looking back at Max awkwardly. She folded her lips and sat next to Lucas. "What's wrong?" Mike said his head on my shoulder. " Im.not in the mood today Mike" " Mood for what?.." Max... I wanna stay with you today" I said smiling at him. "Oh... Well then I shall give you all my attention" He said and kissed my check. I nodded and looked at Max who was talking to Will.

" I want to spend time with Mike" Will told Max. "Huh.." She said surprised. "Wait a minute.. do you-!?" " NO!" Will cut her off." I don't like him..romantically". Max nodded slowly. "I just don't want to lose him. He's been my oldest friend and he's been spending more tine with El than me... Not that I mind of course.." Will said looking at Mike and Eleven. "Id love to know them both better to be honest" Max said, " Im not sure why but Mike seems to dislike me with a burning passion and Eleven... one minute she likes me and the next she doesn't. But I can understand her. She hasn't figured out anything much anyways." "I don't think Mike dislikes you.. maybe he just needs to get used to you" Will smiled, "And El, she also needs to get used to you. El and I have bonded greatly when she and Hopper would come over. Maybe you both should have some time together to bond. I would like to bond with Mike more." Max grinned, "Mhmmm bonding~" Will rolled his eyes at her. "Yeah... you and El with YOUR bonding~" He mimicked her voice and they both began laughing.
