Jong Woo stared at the screen on his phone, a confused expression on his face. He was sitting in the kitchen, alone, or so he thought.

Moon Jo walked in, a blank look on his face as usual. He stood for a moment, waiting for Jong Woo to notice him, but he was fixated on his phone.

"Good morning." Moon Jo coughed, trying to gain Jong Woo's attention.

"Hmm." Jong Woo responded, not looking up from his phone. Moon Jo walked closer to Jong Woo, now peering over his shoulder and looking down at Jong Woo's phone. Jong Woo quickly turned his head.

"What are you doing?" He asked in a surprisingly nonchalant tone. Moon Jo shook his head slightly and took a step back.

"I'm just wondering what's on your phone that's so important." Moon Jo replied almost sounding jealous of the device. Jong Woo tutted, "luckily that's none of your business so move along with your morning!"

Moon Jo tinted a smile, he already knew why Jong Woo was peering at his phone. Before disposing of Ji Eun's body and belongings, he sent out a message to Jong Woo from Ji Eun. A message that clearly wasn't very well received. It stated that she was ending the relationship and there was no reason behind it, she was just "no longer interested" in him. This would eliminate the worry that Ji Eun had gone missing, at least for Jong Woo.

"Are you meeting your girlfriend?" Moon Jo questioned, rubbing salt into the wound. Jong Woo stood up defensively. "Why are you still here!?" He yelled, turning to face Moon Jo. "Can't you just leave me alone and stop hassling me?"

Moon Jo leaned closer to Jong Woo. "No. You'll know why eventually." This only caused more confusion on Jong Woo's end. What did he mean by "you'll know why eventually"? Was he planning something all along? Was something gonna happen to him soon?

These were all thoughts swirling around in Jong Woo's mind. However, he put them to a halt for a moment. "What does that even mean?"Muttered Jong Woo. He could barely manage to conjure up this sentence, he was lost for words.

"You'll know soon.." Moon Jo flashed his familiar grin while exiting the kitchen.

A couple hours passed. Jong Woo had taken the day off after breaking the news that Ji Eun had broken up with him to his boss. He felt his pride plummet when he told his jerk of a boss, because deep down he knew that his boss was trying to get into bed with her at any chance he could.

He was stood on the rooftop, admiring the view of the city. The city that he thought would fix him, but it seemed to have broken him even more. He was reminiscent of his past, his childhood spent in the countryside. His mother's time consumed by his brother. A part of him resented his brother for that, for taking away the chance to have a close bond with his mother. Which made him resent looking back on those times.

Maybe that's why a tiny part of him enjoyed the attention Moon Jo gave him. The lack of love and affection given to him as a child has resulted in him looking for it elsewhere.
