The sun was slowly setting on the island of the Outer Banks. People were finishing off their work for the day, relieved they were finally off, only for them to probably work the next day. A few hours had passed since JJ, Pope and Y/n had left the lighthouse, leaving Kiara and John B behind so they wouldn't get caught by the police that, obviously, had been called.

Currently, the three had reunited with John B as they sat in the campervan, on the way to the Wreck so they could get Kiara. When John B had picked them up, the Carrera girl wasn't in sight, letting them know that something must've happened if she was back at her parents restaurant, probably her parents picking her up.

Eventually, after a couple minutes, they found themselves parked out front of the Wreck, to which Pope hops out of the vehicle, heading inside of the restaurant while the other three wait for him to come back out with Kiara. In the back, Y/n had her feet rested on JJ's lap as she played with her bracelets.

Soon enough, Pope came back out by himself. "She says she's not coming."

"Why not?" JJ questions.

"What'd you do to her, John B?" Y/n asks.

"Shit." John B quietly curses. "Hang on. I'll deal with it."

Obviously not answering to their questions, the brunette hops out of the campervan as Pope gets back in, the three making conversation while the Routledge boy walks into the restaurant, trying to get their best friend to join them for their next adventure.

Eventually, John B comes back out after a few minutes, Kiara trailing behind him, joining their three friends in the vehicle.

The sun was now almost done setting, the moon slowly beginning to come out, showing that night time was coming to the Outer Banks once again. About an hour or so had passed since they picked up Kiara and they were on their way to the destination John B was driving to.

As the sound of the campervans engine and the crickets making their original noises from beneath the grass, Y/n found herself sitting beside her twin brother with JJ sitting behind them while Kiara was in the passenger's seat and John B was driving, like always.

"You mind if I just relax on this one? It's been a long day, and a lot of weird stuff's gone down. I'm just gonna lay low." JJ speaks up, glancing between the siblings. "Oh, did you guys want a hit of this?"

"I keep the signal clear." Pope replies as he pushes the joint away.

Once the boy rejected it, the blonde turns to the other twin, giving her a little smile while he holds up the joint. However, with a small smile, Y/n shakes her head in response, making the boy roll his eyes, taking a hit of the joint but a smile was still on his lips.

JJ looks back at Pope. "Dude, okay. Do you understand that your problem is that you don't get creative? If you got creative, then--"

"Look, I know I was wrong about the lighthouse, alright?" John B intervenes, cutting the blonde off. "And pretty much wrong about everything else going on. But I was right about one thing. Okay? My dad is trying to tell me something."

With the moon fully up and the sun fully down, the sound of crickets filling the air as they hid beneath the tall and short grass, the group now held flashlights in their grips as they walked through an empty, and rather creepy, graveyard.

When the small gust of wind blew by, Y/n couldn't help but shiver, wishing she had brought a sweater and also wishing they had came when it was lighter out, making this not so much creepier. However, she knew night would be better as then they'd get around more easily without being caught for whatever they were about to do.
