Hours had gone by since the group of four teenagers were given the best news they could ever hear in their lives. John B and Sarah being alive. Unlike it had been for the past few days, almost a week or so, smiles were laying on their faces, probably surprising some people that knew the group were close with John B, but they didn't care. They were alive, and now they needed to find a way how they'd see them again. The group found themselves walking to the docks, soon sitting on a bench as they were outside the Carrera's restaurant.

"So we going to the Bahamas or what?" JJ questions.

"Dude, there's no way we're getting to the Bahamas." Pope states.

"John B's gonna get nabbed sooner or later. So if we're gonna clear his name, we need to have done it, like, yesterday." Kie informs.

"I'll tell you how we do it." JJ tells them.

Pope raises a brow. "So you have it all planned out?"

"As a matter of fact, I do." JJ replies. "We kidnap Rafe, tie him up and stick the gun in his mouth and just wait till he starts squawking."

Y/n's eyes widen. "Wait, what?"

"You know, torture's a war crime." Kie reminds.

"Yeah, so how exactly do you plan on clearing John B's name from a prison cell?" Pope asks. "Because that's a felony."

"Alright, well, what do you got, Pope? I was just trying to keep it simple. You know, one stop, and we're done." JJ admits.

"Guys, all we need is a material witness. We saw Ward's plane fly right over our heads with the gold inside of it. He didn't fly it. If somebody else was flying it, they were there on the tarmac. They saw Peterkin get murdered. We just have to find whoever that was and get them to confess on record." Pope explains.

"How do we do that?" Kie questions.

Pope shrugs. "A little light espionage. Woogity-woogity."

"Woogity, baby!" JJ exclaims.

With smiles, the group of four were leaving the docks and the Carrera restaurant and towards the campervan that had been parked outside of the Wreck. The girls found themselves in the front, Kie driving while the boys were in the back. For a couple minutes as Kie was driving, the teenagers were trying to come up with a plan on how to get the evidence as they made their way to their destination.

"If this guy was flying planes for Ward, he's gotta be pretty tight-lipped." Pope informs.

JJ cocks the gun in his hand. "So then direct approach gets my vote."

"JJ, no." Pope demands.

"Put the gun down, man." Y/n instructs.

"No! What?" Kie exclaims.

"We gotta keep this simple, or else we're never gonna get John B home." JJ argues.

"Or we just tickle the wire." Y/n suggests, Pope's eyes widening in realization of what his sister meant. "I plant my phone in his car, and then we listen in on your AirPods."

"Kie, say something." Pope instructs, to which Y/n holds her phone towards the Carrera girl.

Kie shrugs. "Something."

After that, the girl's voice is soon repeated back on the phone, showing them the Heyward girl's plan. Eventually, they were parked right out front of the house where, since they decided both, the Heyward twins hopped out and sneakily jogged onto the lawn, hiding behind some bushes so no one could see them through the windows of the house.

As they turn a corner, Pope holds a hand out as if to silently tell his twin to stop as he peaks over the wall, Y/n doing the same, seeing the man standing on his porch by a barbecue. The Heyward twins finds themselves waiting for about a minute until the man was walking away and back into his house, where they quietly walk up to his car.

Digging her phone out of her pocket, Pope silently opens the door for his sister, however, they quickly hid behind the vehicle when they saw the man through the window, the sound of shouting coming from a TV being heard. When they peaked back out and saw that his back was slightly facing them before he walked off, Y/n crouched up a bit more, tapping on the screen of her phone before she leaned inside, placing the device on the floor just below the driver's seat.

As quick as they could, hand in hand, the twins were sprinting back to the campervan, Y/n getting in the front like before while Pope got into the back with JJ. As they sat down, they took notice of the awkward silence between JJ and Kie. When Y/n sent a questionable look to the girl beside her, Kie shakes her head as if to silently tell her not to ask while she starts the car, driving off before they'd be caught.

Hours had gone by since the Heyward twins planted Y/n's phone in the man's car and the night sky was now out in the Outer Banks as they found themselves back near the house, but somewhere where they hopefully wouldn't be caught. After many minutes of figuring out who would talk to the man, Kie began to type the number into her phone as they decided she'd talk, putting the phone on speaker for all of them to hear.

"Hello?" The man's voice comes through.

"Hello. Is Gavin there?" Kie asks.

"This is Gavin." The man informs. "Who's this?"

"I know what happened on the tarmac." Kie blurts out.

"Um... who's this?" Gavin repeats his previous question.

"It was Rafe Cameron. But you already knew that, and you lied about it." Kie continues as she ignores his question again.

"Alright, you're gonna tell me who this is right now." Gavin demands.

"You could've saved her, Gavin, and you didn't." Kie reminds. "And you're not getting away with this."

"Listen to me! Who is this?" Gavin exclaims.

Once again, not listening, she hangs up the phone, leaving Gavin with no evidence of who she was. For a couple minutes, they find themselves waiting after tickling the wire, soon seeing the man's car lights turn on.

They were all quick to duck when he drove past them, not noticing the four teenagers who were spying on him. Sitting back up, Kie was quick to start the car and follow after him, making sure to keep a safe distance. Meanwhile, the Heyward twins both had one airpod each in their ear as they tried to listen to what Gavin was saying.

"He's talking to Ward." Pope informs. "He's talking about negotiating something. Renegotiating."

"Gavin's got the gun that Rafe used to kill Peterkin. I think he's trying to use it extortion, as leverage." Y/n explains.

"Wait. He's pulling over." Kie observes.

"Go around the block." JJ instructs.

Doing as told, the girl passes Gavin's car, turning the corner, but stops when the road was blocked by construction. When Y/n instructed to turn back around, the Carrera girl begins to do just that but is stopped, once again, when a digger blocks her way. In anger and frustration, JJ exits the car and starts yelling at the builders, telling them that they were just about to back up and leave but they prevented that.

Deciding to just take matters into their own hands, the Heyward twins both frantically hop out of the vehicle when they looked at each other, running off, hearing their friends shout behind them as they were quick to follow, ignoring the builders shouts. The four found themselves running through a backyard, the twins then hopping over a fence, running by a pool where some of their classmates were swimming inside. When one of the girls called out to them, Pope was the only one to look back, breathing out a 'hey' when the girl said the same thing.

However, he failed to notice the swing set and suddenly tripped on the grass when he looked back. The Heyward boy began frantically looking around for his airpod that fell out, finding it on the ground just as his sister helps them up, the twins running behind a bush that was right next to the road, Gavin's car parked just a few feet in front of them, listening in. Just as JJ and Kie make it to them, they turn to them with wide eyes.

"What does that mean?" Kie questions, feeling herself begin to panic.

"Did you guys hear something?" JJ adds in question.

"He's meeting Ward right now." Pope breathes out in panic. "We gotta go. Come on."
