The Winter Soldiers Tribrid

Chapter 9

He walked out in a shirt and swimming trunks after I told him I was done changing. I was wearing a bikini with butterflies with jean shorts and a black tank top which I was slightly on the fence about because they would be able to see all my scars but I quick;y got rid of that thought. "Are you ready to go?" I asked Bucky trying to distract my self. "Yep. Where's Steve?" He asked me walking towards the door. "Not sure, probably downstairs." I responded as we made out way down the stairs. We were half way down the stairs when I missed a step and tripped but before I could fall Bucky caught me and pulled me back up. "Thanks." I told him with a smile on my face. He just nodded as we walked into the living room to find Steve on the couch not ready. "Why aren't you ready?" I asked him crossing my arms to look mad. "Because I'm not coming. I have something I need to take care of something." He said while getting off of the couch. "Oh ya what?" I asked him confused because he knew no one hear yet alone heard of it before we got here. "Stuff. I'll see you guys later." he said heading to the kitchen.

 We just shrugged t off and went outside. Bucky drove us to the trails and we got out. "Okay you ready?" I asked him as he grabbed our backpack out of the car. " Yep lets go." he said offering me his hand. I took it and started walking down the trail. 

After about 20 minutes we made it to the falls. I took of my shirt and shorts and got in the water. It was cold at first but then got warmer. "Come one just come in. The whole point was to swim." I told him as he refused to come in the water. He rolled his eyes and took off his shirt finally giving in. When he got in I dunked him under water and held him there for a minute until he got out from my grasp and above water again. He threw me over his shoulder and brought me to shore. I hi is back and kicked my legs trying to get him to put me down. He put me down and as I was walking back into the water he picked me up bridal style. "Put me down!" I yelled. "Okay." He said a smirk on his face. "Don't you-" I said as he threw me into the water. I swam back to the top where I saw him laughing. 

We were there for a few hours fighting in the water. I dunked him under a few times and got on his shoulders but that just resulted in him throwing me in the water or throwing his body back putting us both in the water until we decided it would be a good time to head back home. We dried ourselves off with the towels still laughing with happiness. I don't think I've ever seen him like this... so happy. "Are you sure you want to go back already?" he asked slightly like he didn't want the fun to end. "We have to get back. It's getting late and Steve wants to leave." I told him with a frown on my face. "Okay." he said with a smirk on his face. Oh god he was about to do something. Next think I knew I was on the ground with him over top of me. We stayed like that for a little bit looking into each others eyes. I then felt his body coming closer and closer to mine. Next thing I knew I was moving closer to his face until our lip intertwined. 

He broke the kiss getting up, "We should get going" he said grabbing the bag. I was confused he was the one who tackled me, who started moving closer first and he kissed me back. "Did I do something wrong?" I asked trying to solve my confusion. "No, I just.. we need to get going you said it yourself." he said starting to walk away. I ran up and grabbed his wrist. "No we can wait a minute. Why all of a sudden are you all moody? you were just laughing and fooling around now your all mad and distant!" I yelled at him angrily. "Reasons." he said taking his arm out of my grasp. "What reasons?" I asked still keeping a bit of anger in my voice. "he didn't answer me and just kept walking. "Answer me!" I yelled at him. 

"Because I could hurt you." he said looking like he was close to tears. "Why do you think you would hurt me?" I asked him slightly confused to wrestling with me to not wanting to hurt me. "Because of this." he said motioning to his arm. "That's thing I know you won't hurt me. Plus I'm THE tribrid. I think I'll be fine." I said taking his hands in mine but he pulled them away. "That's just it, you think you'll be fine." he said looking me in my eyes. "Fine then I know you won't hurt me." I said slowly walking closer to him but he noticed. "Stop please." he said sticking out a hand in front of me. "can we just go home?" I looked at I with sadness in my eyes. "Just please let me prove you won't hurt me. please." I said as a tear slid down my cheek. I continued waling towards him and he didn't stop me.

When I was close enough I wrapped my arms around him and he stood there still. "Please" I whined as more tears ran down my face. He wrapped his arms around me an held me close. "See, I told you I'd be fine when let me go. He smiled and took my hand as we kept walking. 

When we got back to the house Steve had all the bags ready to go into the car. "Guys come on. It's 5 and we have a thirteen hour drive ahead of us. Could you not gave came home earlier?" Steve asked sounding slightly annoyed. "We ran into a problem but it's fine now." Bucky responded not letting me go. "Whatever help me get the bags into the car." Steve said rolling his eyes. 

When all the bags were packed I went to say goodbye. "You'll come visit soon right?" Jeremy asked as he hugged me. "Of course. As much as I can." I told him letting him go and moving towards Elena. "I'll see you soon sis." I said smiling trying to hide my tears. "Right back at you." She replied letting me go. Damon then hugged. "Take care of them for me." I told him. I felt him nod and then kissed the top of my head. "Thank you for letting us stay here. Steve said giving everyone a nod goodbye. 
 

I got in the back of the car while Steve sat in the driver side and Bucky sat in the back with me. I waved to them as we drove away. I could feel the tears start now. Bucky out his hand on my arm trying to comfort me. I turned around to face the front of the car as we drove over the boarder.
