I don't know how long I had been there and I thought I had fallen asleep because my eyes felt heavy and I felt tired. I slowly started to sink deeper into the water until my head was fully submerged. I sat there holding my breath. I was under for a while until my throat started burning so I came back up. Why am I here. It's not like I couldn't control my hunger back in New York.
I didn't even know these people. Yes they were my family but not like the Avengers were. These people were my biological family but not the ones I'd give my life to save, not the ones I would do anything for even if it involved me getting hurt in the process.
Just then I heard my phone start ringing. I picked it up not bothering to look at the caller ID. "Hello?" I asked. "Hey Doll. I'm almost there. Did I wake you up you sound tired?" Bucky answered.
"No I just fell asleep in the bath. Wait why would you think you woke me up?" I asked quickly looking at the time. That was when I realized... I had slept in the tub all night. I guess that explains the cold water.
"Because its 8:00 am? Wait did you stay in the tub all night?" He sounded so surprised but I mean it is something I would do.
"No. Maybe. I didn't mean to." I knew he was laughing because of the tone in his voice and it made me laugh. "Wait how are you getting here because you should be here by now?"
"I'm driving. I didn't want to take the jet because I figured that there would be no where to put it and Tony would kill me if I just left it in a field."
"Well than I'm gonna hang up so your not driving while on the phone because knowing you if your on your motorcycle your gonna crash it, so I will see you in a bit. Call me when your in New Orleans and I'll give you the address but I got to go so I'll call you later. Bye."
He said bye, hung up the phone then there was a knock on the door.
