Chapter Two: The Departure

It's been eight hours since I got that call from Beckett, the details they have sent me was that two women were abducted in broad daylight. It was brief, they rather discuss this with me face to face.

This doesn't seem right.

Within those eight hours I was able to gather some of my gear and clothes such as my brown leather jacket. I made my way over to a building to meet with them, only took a couple hours to get to the location. I walk the halls seeing people rushing in and out of rooms, beige file folders in their hands. I pass by the training room, no one was in there practicing their high kicks on the rubber dummy we call, "Benny."

Making my way to the offices as fast I could.

What the hell is going on?

(Beckett)-" Leon!" I hear Beckett's voice stop me in my tracks hearing a squeal of my shoes rub against the floor. He was in the conference room with two men guarding the door. I make my way to Beckett and enter the room.Beckett shuts the door behind us, I see he's still leaning on the stainless steel cane. 

We weren't the only ones in here, there was a full meeting going on. I see other agents standing idly by with a blank stare, not knowing what or how to react. The President was here as well, more men then usual. The President was pacing back and forth with such worry, he's pale as a ghost.

(President)-" Agent Kennedy." He made eye contact with me, I was his moment of relief.

I walked towards the table that apparently no one seemed to be sitting, they were all on edge.

(Leon)-" Mr. President."

(President)-" Agent Kennedy, you're needed immediately." He went straight to the point.

(Leon)-"The two women abducted?"

(President)-" Yes. My daughter and her childhood friend."

What?

How could that be possible?

(Beckett)-" They were last seen outside miss Graham's campus. There were witnesses."

(Leon)-" Do we know where they have taken them?"

(Beckett)-"We got our team locating that now. It's going to take some time to find their location."

(President)-"With all due respect, agent Kennedy...You were hand selected to work in this organization for your admiral survival skills, your combat training, testing scores... I have selected you with this task to retrieve my daughter back." His voice tried to remain professional but I can tell he was heartbroken. A father worried for their child.

(Leon)-"I will bring them back home, sir."

(President)-"Please that you do." He lends out his hand and I place mine in his, we exchange a handshake. I grip his hand confirming I will successfully bring them, bring his daughter home. The President releases and walks back to the table having a seat trying to calm his trembling fingers.
