Chapter Thirty One: Leon vs. Krauser

(Ashley)-"Guys! There's a truck up ahead!" She shouts. I direct my line of fire away from the non stop spawning of Ganado's.

There's just no end to them.

I hold down the trigger of the TMP towards the grill of the armored truck. Flames come ablaze still coming full force.

(Ashley)-"Hang on!" She yells as she makes a sharp left turn as the collision of the truck shakes the vehicle.

I lower my weapon and brace for impact, my hand grabs onto (Y/n)'s wrist holding on tight. The vehicle shakes violently and a puff of thick grey smoke blinds our vision, I couldn't see anything but at least I still have a grip on her. The vehicle turns to its side causing us to fall along with it-- I accidentally release the hold falling onto cold hard concrete. I feel rock debris falling and dust continuing to be a nuisance. I cough a few times trying to catch my breath. After a few moments the dust finally lessens. I see (Y/n) and Ashley on the ground not too far away. I got up slowly feeling my body aching.

(Leon)-"Everyone okay?" 

(Ashley)-"I--I'm okay" She coughs. 

(Y/n)-"Same here." She gets up from the ground dusting herself off and make her way to Ashley to help. 

I check my handgun seeing a few scratches, I reload the clip just in case. I look over my shoulder seeing that the machine is blocking the new route Ashley made, theres' no way they're getting through this mess. 

(Y/n)-"Leon" She calls my name, she waves for me to follow them. She held the door for me. The merchant has set up his shop waiting for me. 

The merchant opens his trench coat in silence, he doesnt have anything to say. He means business.  

I hear the girls behind me talking as I sell a few of these spinels I keep finding laying around the place, I wonder if these are worth anything back home. Maybe a few hundreds maybe. 

(Y/n)- "Yeah...I just hope everything runs smoothly from here on out". I turn around and nod towards them. Following the map leads to a small staircase going up, there was another door ahead but I had this strange feeling that there's a surprise waiting for us. 

We open it entering inside seeing Saddler's back towards us. 

(Saddler)- "I can feel them. Growing ever so strongly inside you." He turns around pleased with himself. 

(Leon)- "Saddler!" I charge towards him ready to strike with my knife. I stop as soon as Saddler held up his hand feeling a sudden wave of pain in my chest. The Plagas inside me is reacting it's masters call. 

Fuck! 

I feel my knees giving out. 

(Saddler)- "Perhaps you can resist, but you cannot disobey." He takes a few steps closer. The pain is unbearable that one knee falls, I yell out no longer able to keep quiet. The other knee falls seconds later, my palms flat on the ground almost surrendering to Saddler. I resist as I try to sit up but the pain worsens. 

(Y/n)- "Saddler-- stop it-- let him go!" She shouts towards him. He darts his eyes to the girls. 

(Saddler)- "You didn't think I forgot about the two of you?" He moves his hand away from me to them. A huge wave settles in making me lower my head to the ground, I resist enough to lift my head back up looking back to Ashley and (Y/n). 

They raise their heads simultaneously--their eyes have changed color. Saddler has taken over them.

(Saddler)- "Now, come to me, girls." Ashley and (Y/n) start heading towards him. I endure the pain to extend my arm out and grab whoever was closest to me. The pain became too extreme but I pulled (Y/n) down to the ground with me as soon as the pain hit me like a tidal wave. She groans squirming in my chest trying to escape my hold. I managed to take out a homing beacon tracker and toss it onto Ashley's back before she gets too far out of reach.
