Chapter Ten: Nightfall

My body twitches one feeling my chest pulse, another twitch feeling another pulse but this one felt bigger. I sat up clenching stomach. The pain has receded feeling my lungs taking in air normally. What the hell was that sudden wave of pain?  The blood I coughed up? 

Wait-- where the hell is (Y/n)?

(Y/n)-" L-Leon?" She stammers saying my name. I turn behind me seeing her sitting on the ground with her knees to her chest. Her voice is gravely, I couldn't see her in the dark. I scoot closer towards her and she tries to move away but her back was already pressed into the wall.

(Leon)-" What is it? What's going on?" She mumbles under her breath with some kind of twitching mannerisms. She's not being coherent, she's not speaking to me directly. What is happening with her?

She suddenly pushes me and rushes to her feet sprinting but she comes to a harsh stop.

(Y/n)-"Failure. You failed. It's gonna kill me, Ashley and...you." 

What the hell is she talking about?

 (Y/n)- "Pain." She says clearly.

A massive sharp digging pain in my chest occurs as she said it. Feeling something inside of me wiggle and move. The bones in my torso feel every part of it shifting left and right. I groan in pain-- almost wanting to tear open my chest to remove it.

(Y/n)-"Within you, it devours." She turns around seeing her eyes blackened black veins surrounds her skin. She drops to her knees and slowly crawls her way to me. I reach out to try to snap her out of it-- another massive wave hits my body.

Fuck! 

What the hell!?

I look down at my left forearm seeing black veins spread like webbing, my heart pulses seeing it happening to my right forearm. I can feel myself being paralyzed-- losing my sanity! I lose myself looking into the pitch darkness in her eyes-- my body jolts up seeing the dirty ceiling above me. My eyes find (Y/n)'s seeing her skin clear of the veins and blackened eyes. Only her natural (E/c) eyes gaze back at me. She breathes slightly quickly, I must've startled her.

(Y/n)-" Had a nice nap?" I examine our surroundings, she kept a dim lantern beside us, I lift sitting upwards noticing she kept me comfortable on her lap.

(Leon)-" What happened?"

(Y/n)- " You lost consciousness"

(Leon)- " Lost consciousness?"

(Y/n)- " Yeah, you don't remember?"

(Leon)- " I remember this nightmare.." I look away remembering it. What did it mean?

'Pain'

'Within you, it devours' ?

Was that crazy talk?
