(Time Skip)
I look over my shoulder seeing (Y/n) crossing her arms over her chest holding herself for warmth. The temperature has dropped immensely, hell, I could wish for my jacket right about now. A wooden gate approaches, this is going to lead us into the farming location I went through earlier. The gate creaks open stepping aside letting the girls go first. As soon as we shut the gate I notice the lighting coming from the barn and lit torches further on, Saddler must've sent them here.
I can handle them but with the girls with me their safety is at risk. Off to the side looked to be a rusted up metal bin, not sure what it's used for. It's good enough with me.
(Leon)- " Hide in there." I jerked my head towards the metal bin. We walk up to the bin and caught a whiff of it. It wasn't all that bad, it's terrible but not the worse I've encountered. Ashley and (Y/n) looked to me, specially her with that expression she's giving me as if she'd rather take her chances with me than in a small cramped bin.
(Leon)- "It'll keep you both safe" I assure.
(Y/n)- " I'll take my chances with you than in there." I cocked my head to the side. She's displaying behavior like a child.
I'm dealing with a child.
A stubborn one.
We continue to have a silent stare down, her lips firmly in a straight line and she kept her posture leaning on her hip with her arms crossed over her chest. Heights, swimming--we encountered almost everyone of her fears and this is crossing the line? My eyelids narrow at her, is she going to be a pain in my ass?
(Ashley)- I'm hiding in here, whistle when the coast is clear." Ashley breaks our battle and hops into the bin shutting it closed leaving (Y/n) with me. We look back to each other, I give in. I nod my head and jerk my head for us to get walking. I took three steps and I stopped feeling her bump into my back.
I'm gonna regret this, aren't I?
(Leon)- " There's two over there, be careful." I point in the direction of the two villagers I can see.
(Y/n)- " Okay." She whispers.
I fire two rounds at them, one is stunned and the other falls to the ground bubbling into the dirt. Another villager hidden in the dark shouts alerting more spread around the farm. Hoping she can keep up, I sped off inside the barn. I stop at the foot of the entrance seeing they had laid bear traps around, A villager jumps down from the second floor of the barn almost stepping onto the trap. I aimed my handgun and shot him in the knee, he clenches to it groaning in pain. I quickly turn to my side and grabbed her by the bicep and pulled her into the barn guiding her to the ladder to head up to the top. She climbs up and stands near the edge eyeing down, the villager focuses back to me walking around the traps. I fire three more rounds killing him. Taking a step back inside the barn careful not to step inside a trap-- I reloaded my handgun and brought down three more villagers. I holster my handgun away looking down at the ground grabbing a fist full of rocks, I drop the tiny pebbles, the ones with no weight to them from my palm. I toss the rocks to trigger the bear traps hearing a loud metal clap, all three traps have been disarmed.
