Author's POV
"Yeah. I like someone." Irene said while looking at Jennie.
"You." She suddenly confessed.
Jennie was taken aback by Irene's response.
There was silence between the two of them.
"I like you, Jen. I like you a lot." Irene said to break the silence surrounding them.
And of course, Jennie was shocked with the sudden confession.
She did not know what to feel.
Inside, she felt so happy because Irene just confessed to her that she likes her.
It would be a lie if she denies that she likes Irene too.
But on the other hand, she realized that she is already engaged. That she has Lisa.
Lisa. The girl who loves her so much. This made Jennie guilty because she felt like she cheated on her girlfriend.
Although it was not really her intention to do so, she felt guilty because she knows she's starting to feel something towards Irene.
As for Irene, Jennie did not give her any response with regard to her confession.
Feeling a little frustrated, she leaned closer to Jennie and suddenly kissed her on the lips. Jennie was shocked and tried to release herself from Irene but it was no use.
In the end, she responded to the kiss. It would be a lie if she'll say she did not enjoy it.
Irene, feeling victorious, smiled and deepened the kiss between the two of them.
Their kissed turned into a passionate kiss.
After a few minutes, Jennie suddenly thought of Lisa. And this brought her back to reality.
She broke the kiss.
"Why?" Irene asked.
"I'm sorry, Irene. But this is wrong." She said.
"What are you talking about, Jennie?" Irene asked.
"I'm engaged, Irene. I'm with Lisa, remember?" Jennie answered.
"It does not matter, Jen. You're not married yet." Irene said.
"What?" Jennie asked.
"You're not married yet. I still have a chance, right? I know you like me too, Jen." Irene answered.
"What are you talking about, Irene?" She asked.
"You kissed me back. You enjoyed our kiss, Jen. I have my chance." Irene sternly said.
"What are you talking about? I love Lisa. I'm not gonna cheat on her." Jennie said.
"You did, Jen. You just did." Irene said.
No matter how hard Jennie denies it, she knows to herself that Irene's words are true. Jennie begins to shed tears. Seeing Jennie in this state, Irene's heart was broken.
"Jennie." Irene said and tried to hold the girl but Jennie pulled her hands away.
"What have you done to me, Irene? I hate how you make me feel. It makes me so confused. I hate this." Jennie continues to cry.
"I'm sorry, Jennie. I did not know that this will lead to this. If I knew that me liking you will brought pain to you, I should not have done anything." Irene said.
Jennie just sat there and continued sobbing.
Irene sighed and decided that it's better to leave Jennie alone.
"I'll give you some time to think. But I really mean it, Jennie. I really like you. But maybe for now, I'll try to distance myself for a while. I'm sorry, Jen." Irene said.
She stood up and walked to Jennie's side.
"I'll see you when I'll see you. Bye." She said and leaves.
Jennie was left alone. She's still crying. She decided to go home. When she arrived at her house, Jennie went straight to her bed.
Her phone rang.
Caller: My Lili ♥
"Hey" Jennie said.
"Hey, Nini!" Lisa excitedly said.
"Hmmm."
"Hey, you okay, babe?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, Lisa."
"No, you're not, babe. Don't lie to me."
"I'm not lying okay? I'm just tired, Lili. That's all."
"You're lying, Jennie. I know when you're lying."
Jennie was irritated.
"I said I'm not, okay?!"
"Why are you screaming? What's your problem huh?"
"I told you I don't have any problem! Why can't you just get it?!"
"Then why are you being like this?"
"I'm being what?! You know what Lisa, let's just talk some other time. I'm tired. I don't want to talk right now."
"I should have not called." Lisa said on the other line. It was loud enough for Jennie to hear.
"Hmmm. I'm hanging up. Bye."
Jennie ended the call.
Lisa was indeed hurt by the way Jennie acted when she called.
All she wanted was to talk to her girlfriend but yeah, that's what happened.
On the other hand, Jennie begins to cry again.
She was so confused between her feelings towards Irene and Lisa.
She also felt guilty by the way she acted to Lisa.
She knew she hurt Lisa with the way she acted.
"I'm sorry, Lili. I'm so sorry." She cried and falls asleep.
