Author's POV
"Happy Birthday, Babe." Lisa said to Jennie while walking towards her with a smile on her face.
Jennie, on the other hand, just stood there, still not believing that she's seeing the face she's longing so long to see.
Lisa reached Jennie and gave her the bouquet of roses. She kissed Jennie's cheek and smiled at her.
Jennie, still a little stiff, accepted the flowers and slowly put her hand on Lisa's face, tracing it.
"H-how?" Jennie asked, stuttering, wanting to know how can Lisa be there in front of her right now when she was supposed to be in Paris.
Lisa smiled and held Jennie's hands which were caressing her face.
"Well, I met this girl when we were young. We actually grew up together. I know everything about her and she knows everything about me. I can tell back then that she was my bestfriend. We played together, laughed together, cried together, and even fought with each other. We're the best of friends but we're also the worst of enemies. But I'm not complaining because I love how things were back then. Then one day, unexpectedly, I felt something towards this girl. And then I realized that what I was feeling was not just friendship anymore. At that very moment I knew it. I knew I fell in love with this girl. And lucky as it may seems, this girl accepted me when I confessed. The girl I met before became my girlfriend. And I had spent wonderful memories with her. Then that girlfriend of mine becomes my fiancée when she accepted my proposal." Lisa stopped.
Jennie, after hearing what Lisa just said, started sobbing, touched by every word Lisa said to her.
Lisa, seeing Jennie in that state, smiled and hugged her and said,
"And being with my fiancée for so long, I never missed any of her birthdays. Not even once."
Lisa broke the hug then held Jennie's face and put their foreheads saying,
"And I don't have any plan to miss it this year. Because I love her too much to be away from her. I love you too much, Nini. I love you too much that I might go crazy if you're not by my side for too long. I love you so much, Babe. Now until eternity."
Jennie sobbed even more after Lisa finished saying what her heart wanted to say. Finding the view cute, Lisa let out a soft giggle and leaned closer to kiss Jennie.
The kiss lasted for a few seconds but Jennie can feel all the love that Lisa have for her. Jennie grabbed Lisa and hugged her. She hugged her so tight because she's afraid of letting Lisa go.
She's so afraid of what will happen if Lisa finds out about what happened between her and Irene. She knows Lisa is too good to be true and she doesn't deserve her after what happened but she's afraid to lose Lisa. She's afraid to lose her because she loves her. She loves her so much and she hated herself for still having doubts. For being confused.
Jennie let out all her frustrations by crying and Lisa just hugged her. Thinking that Jennie is just overwhelmed, Lisa just keep smiling while hugging her beloved girl.
"I love you, Lili. I love you so so much!" Jennie cried.
Lisa laughed and said to her, "I love you more. I love you so much more, Nini."
