At the shopping mall
Jennie's POV
Chaeng and I excused ourselves to go shopping. I heard that the newest collection of Chanel were already released. So, as part of my personality, I dragged Chaeng to the nearby shop. Shopping just makes me go crazy and Chaeng is my ultimate shopping buddy.
I was busy admiring the bags when she started a conversation.
"So how are you and Lisa Jen?" She asked.
"We're good. Everything is fine between us." I answered while still looking at the bags.
"So you mean you two are okay? You don't have any problem with that?" She asked while looking at the brown one.
I furrowed my eyebrows. I really don't have any idea of what she's talking about. I just answered it anyway because I'm still mesmerized with the bags.
"Yes. We are okay. Why would I have a problem with that?" I replied to her but I still don't get what she is trying to say.
"Well, I just thought that you would be mad you know. Thinking that Lisa will leave is never easy." She replied.
Wait. WHAT?! WHAT IS SHE SAYING THAT LISA IS LEAVING?! I need to make it clear.
"Wait. What did you say again?" I asked just to confirm if I heard it right.
"I said it is difficult to think that Lisa is leaving us." She said again.
WHAT THE?!
"Leaving?! Why?!" I asked her back.
"She's leaving for Paris because she has to meet their French investors. She's staying there for two months."
"What?! Two months?!" I raised my voice.
"Yah! Jennie! Stop screaming, will you?!" She shouted back.
"Did she know about this?" I asked while calming myself down.
"Yes. That's the reason why Jisoo called her. She wants to inform her that she needs to leave for the meeting." She continued.
"Wait. Why do you act so shocked about this? Oh my! You mean she hasn't told you yet?" She continued and covered her mouth.
I don't know what I am feeling right. I'm mad because Lisa didn't mention anything about this and I'm hurt because she's going to leave me.
"Anio. I didn't know anything about this." I shook my head.
"Mianhe, Jen. I didn't know that she hasn't told you yet. I thought she told you already since Jisoo told me that she's leaving in two days." She said as she rubbed my arms.
"What?! She's leaving in two days?!" I snapped at Chaeng but I really didn't mean to. She just kept silent.
"I'm sorry, Chaeng. Let's go. I need to go back to that restaurant." I said.
I walked as fast as I can to reach the restaurant as soon as possible. When I got there, I saw Lisa. She looked at me and froze. I don't know what happened to me but I walked towards her.
As I am now standing in front of her, I slapped her. I don't know what's gotten into me. All I know is that I'm so mad and hurt at the same time.
Author's POV
Lisa was shocked by the slap that she had received from Jennie. She was slapped hard that her cheek was painted red.
"Nini! Why did you do that?!" Lisa said, angry.
"Why didn't you tell me that you're leaving huh?!" Jennie replied, mad.
Realizing that Jennie already knew about her leaving, Lisa remained silent. She didn't know what to say to her. She wanted to speak up but there are just no words coming out from her mouth.
"YAH! Answer me!!" Jennie shouted again.
This time, she's giving small punches to Lisa's chest. Lisa just remained silent.
"Why don't you answer me huh?! HUH?! Do you even have any plans on telling me about this huh, Lisa?! Or you're just going to leave me without any explanation?!" Jennie said bursting out all the madness she has inside her.
Lisa then realized that all the people are looking at them. She hugged Jennie to stop her from throwing more punches at her.
"Baby let's talk about this later. Let's not talk about this here. Please." Lisa pleaded. She's trying her best to hold her tears.
Jennie, who is still mad, tried her best to release herself from the hug and she succeeded.
"You know what, let's not talk at all!! If you're leaving then leave!!" Jennie shouted again but this time, she had tears in her eyes.
"I don't want to talk to you anymore! Leave NOW!!" She shouted again and ran away. She burst to crying. She didn't want Lisa to leave. In fact, that's the least that she wants. But she's hurt and no one is in their right thinking when they are hurt, right?
Lisa, realizing what just happened, chased Jennie.
"Nini!" She keeps on shouting as she chased her. Jennie got into a taxi before Lisa can catch up with her.
"Shit!" Lisa cursed when she saw Jennie rode a taxi. She ran to the parking lot to get her car and followed Jennie. While driving, she keeps on calling Jennie's phone but she didn't answer any of it. She tried her best to keep up with the taxi.
The taxi arrived at Jennie's place and Jennie ran towards the door of her house. Lisa got out of her car and ran towards Jennie. She failed to catch up with her because Jennie is already inside.
Lisa's POV
I keep knocking on Jennie's door.
"Baby! Please open the door. Let's talk" I said.
She didn't answer me.
"Baby, please." I keep on knocking.
"ANIO! GO AWAY!" She shouted from the inside.
"I'm not going anywhere until you talk to me, Jennie." I said. No answer.
"I'm sorry, baby. Please let me in. I'm going to stay here until you open this damn door!" I said. Still, she didn't open the door.
I am now staying at her doorstep for two hours when my phone rings. As usual, it's Jisoo.
"Hello." I said in a weak tone.
"Hey buddy. How are you?"
"Bad. I'm still at her doorstep. She's still not talking to me, Chu." I started to sob.
"Just give her more time, Lis. She's hurt. She needs time to think."
"But Chu.." I was cut by her.
"No buts, Manoban. Just give her time to be alone. For now, just go home. You need to fix your things already."
Maybe Jisoo is right. With that, I decided to follow her.
"Arasso, Chu. I'll be heading home now. Bye."
"Okay buddy. Drive safe. Bye." We both hung up.
I got up from Jennie's doorway. But then, my head started to hurt. My eyes are starting to blur and I feel dizzy. I can feel myself turning pale, my body shivering, my forehead with beads of sweat. It must be tiredness from the run I had while chasing Jennie.
I started walking to my car but then my sight turned black and I....
*THUD*
