You jolt awake, looking directly over to Loki, the exact same smirk plastered on his face.
"I told you to stay out of my head," you throw the pillow you were sleeping on at him, realising he used magic to appear in your dream.
"I got bored," he responds in an annoyed tone, pelting it back at your face.
You grumble to yourself, getting up out of your seat, "I need a drink."
"Be a good girl and fetch me one too," he says testily, making you roll your eyes.
You pour yourself a glass of whiskey, neat, absent-mindedly pouring him one too, and walk back towards your seat. Suddenly, the seatbelt light flashes on, indicating turbulence, and you get flung sideways.
Unfortunately, you're thrown to Loki's side of the jet, spilling the freshly poured drinks all over the two of you, and landing backwards on top of him.
"Thanks," he remarks snidely, and you hand him the empty glass.
"You're welcome," you spit back, looking down at him.
"Looks like you took me up on that offer of sharing a seat after all," he says, with his signature cheshire-cat grin.
You ignore his comment, and steady yourself using the back of his chair to get a suitcase out of the overhang, hitting him in the shoulder as you pull it down.
"Oops," you say sarcastically, as he glares at you. You zip open the luggage, pulling out a change of clothes for yourself, and reluctantly grab some spare clothes from your 'lost and found' in the overhang for Loki.
You head to the bathroom to get changed out of your ruined pencil skirt and silk shirt, and into a comfortable pair of joggers and matching hoodie.
You walk back out, Loki now changed into the snug black t-shirt and loose running pants.
"Why is it so tight?" he asks begrudgingly, you only just taking notice of how it lines his sculpted figure, he's a lot buffer than you had expected him to be.
"Don't ask me, it's the only thing that would fit you," you shrug, and put your seat back fully and get a blanket from your suitcase. You turn to face the wall, hoping to get an uninterrupted sleep.
You drift off eventually, and that nightmare begins to unfold in your head again.
"I just don't get it Jared, what did any of those people ever do to you?" you ask. The smell of sweat and grime is pungent, and your wrists burn from the extremely tight rope securing you to the steel chair.
"What do you mean 'what did they do', they wronged us can't you see that?" he paces around in front of you, and you can almost hear the countdown starting in your head. Tick Tick Tick.
"Jared, just listen for a second, you don't have to do this," you plead, as he stalks towards you.
"OF COURSE I DO," he screams in your face, "then you'll see, we can be together without anyone getting in our way," he storms away to the door. You need to think of a way to stop him and fast, before thousands of people get hurt.
"No, Jared we can't," you shout as he is about to shut the door, "because I don't love you."
"Yes you do, of course you do," he says in a low, threatening tone, "Give me one good reason-"
"I'm in love with someone else," you blurt out, a complete lie, but it might be enough to stop him.
You can see his temper growing, until he finally snaps, "NO, YOU LOVE ME, YOU SAID YOU DID."
