Loki moved back in with the Avengers a few days ago after finally telling them about what really happened in New York. You're getting ready for the gala, that you're attending as the billionaire Ethan Spencer's 'date.'

"You don't think it's too much?" you ask Alex, adjusting the dress as you look in the mirror

"You don't think it's too much?" you ask Alex, adjusting the dress as you look in the mirror.

"Considering what people wear to these events, if anything, it's not enough," Alex looks you up and down.

"Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence."

"I'm kidding, it's perfect," they joke, an elated smile on their face.

Sitting on the edge of your bed and tying the ribbon on your heel, you look up at Alex, "What's got you all giddy?"

"Oh, pfft, nothing."

"Does this 'nothing' also go by the name of Bucky?" you tease and stand up, grabbing your purse.

"What?"

"You didn't deny it," you say in a sing-song voice, pointing your purse at them.

You take a hand gun, hiding it under the poofy skirt along with the rest of your weapons.

"Take care of Korra and Asami for me?" you request, giving your husky Korra a belly rub before heading towards the door.

"But they're so loud-"

"They have beautiful voices, don't you girls," you scratch Asami, your white cat behind the ear, as she purrs in response.

"I'll order you a pizza from Fiore's," you tempt them with their favourite pizza place.

"Done."

"Bye Alex," you exit the door, leaving your colleague alone with your rowdy pets. You haven't found a good pet-sitter in New York yet, so Alex has had to mind them every time you leave the house.

You scroll through your contacts, stopping at B and calling the first name that appears.

"Y/N?"

"Barnes, are you free tonight? I really need someone to look after my pets," you ask.

"I guess I could-"

"I'm sending you the address now, just buzz in saying you have pizza and head right up. Oh, and you'll actually need a pizza box to get let in, so can you get one?"

"I'll stop at Fiore's on the way," he replies, they're perfect for each other.

"Great, thanks so much."

"You owe me one."

"The debt's already been repaid," you quip, hearing a 'What?' on the other end of the call as you hang up.

Walking out of the front door of the complex, you look around, spotting the sports car parked on the street.

"Hop on in," Ethan gestures for you to sit in the passenger seat, the door opening by itself in front of you.
