We were all taken home, and since Sarah had nowhere to go, she stayed with me. 

We both took extremely long showers and changed into comfortable clothes. We then sat down on my couch. "You doing okay?" I asked her as I took a seat. She shook her head as she fought back tears. "No." She said. I hugged her and she began crying. 

I wiped the tears off of her cheeks as I looked at her. "If there's one thing I know about John B, he's like a cat. But instead of having nine lives, he's got nine chances." I said and she lightly laughed. "He'll get out of this somehow. I know he will. And we're gonna help him." I said and she nodded. 

I stood up as I went into the kitchen, grabbing two mugs and placing them under the Keurig so hot chocolate could pour into them. Hot chocolate always seemed to calm Sarah down, and I hoped it would work this time. 

After handing her a mug, I sat down and took a sip of the warm beverage before putting it down on a coaster. I couldn't stop thinking about JJ, so I pulled my phone out of my hoodie pocket. 

New Message to: JJ
How you holding up?

JJ:
Just trying to calm down.
How about you two?

Scar:
Same over here.
Why don't you come over?
I don't want you to be
alone right now.

JJ: 
I think
Sarah needs you right now.
I'll see you tomorrow at 
the hearing?

Scar:
Yeah, of course.
Let me know if you need
anything. <3

JJ:
I will.
Get some sleep.

Usually, JJ would add a "beautiful" or some cute comment to end the conversation, but he didn't. 

Instead of worrying, I put my phone back in my pocket then grabbed a blanket to put over both me and Sarah. Her head rested on my shoulder. "I missed you." She said to me. "I missed you too, Sare Bear," I said to her, using her childhood nickname. 

She smiled and laughed at my usage of the name. "How'd things go with JJ last night?" She asked me. "You really wanna talk about that right now?" I asked her with a smile. "Yeah, I need to get my mind off of everything that just happened." She answered. 

"Well, it was really good. And by really, I mean really." I said and she giggled. "Was he... ya know?" She asked. I knew exactly what she was referring to. "Big? Yeah." I said with a laugh and she joined in. "Give me details!" She said excitedly. 

"It started out really passionate and soft when he kissed me. But at one point, all the nerves were gone, and it felt really good." I said. "Now I'm kinda worried that my boyfriend is a mind reader because I swear he knew exactly what I li--"

"What?" Sarah interrupted me. "Yeah, it's like he knew what I wanted," I said. "No, no. Your what?" She asked me. I thought back to what I had said. "Oh," I said and she smiled. "Your boyfriend?" She asked me with a smile.

I looked at her face and couldn't help but smile. "Um, yeah. My boyfriend." I said with a laugh. "Since when? Did you guys make it official last night?" She asked me and I shook my head. "No. It was a couple of weeks ago. But you can't tell anyone." I said to her.

She shot me a confused look. "Why? I mean I'm surprised but not that surprised. You guys don't exactly hide it." She said. "I know. But, we agreed to not tell anyone right now because of everything going on." I confessed.
