"You want me to do what?" You asked Scott. Scott looked a little awkward and looked at Stiles who held his hands up.

"I'm the one who told you this wouldn't go down well. You're the one that said the Christmas season will put (Y/N) in a good mood!" Stiles said defensively.

You looked back at Scott who grimaced. "I was hoping you'd be more..."

"Willing to work with a literal demon. I think not." You huffed out at him. Scott sighed and looked around before looking back at you.

"He seemed pleased about it when I asked!" Scott said helplessly. You knew that everyone else was busy and Scott really wouldn't be asking if it wasn't serious.

"Of course he did. Look at him. He's probably inhaled so many fumes from his hair gel that he's out of his mind." You muttered. The three of you turned to Theo who was waiting in the car park for you. He waved eagerly and smiled.

"He looks like he has so many secrets. Why is he so eager?" Stiles muttered.

"Stiles! You're not helping." Scott muttered.

"Right. Right, sorry. Good luck. Don't get stabbed in the back!" Stiles said in a fake cheerful tone as he gave the thumbs up and left with Scott. You sighed and headed over to Theo who cheerfully greeted you.

"You and I on the same team. It must be Christmas." You said slowly.

"Well yeah. It almost is." He said with a smile. You glared at him for a moment and his smile faltered.

"Come on. We have to check out the east part of the woods before dark. Parrish said the hellhound was talking to him about the woods." You said as you started to trek towards the woods.

"You know. I have a spare flask if you're thirsty and a spare coat and..." Theo blabbered. He had very much the same effect as a muddy puppy who wanted all of your attention.

"Are you going to talk all day?" You asked sharply. Theo's eagerness ebbed and you managed to get about ten feet before he started excitedly blabbering again. You were tired. Cold. You had to spend the day in the woods looking for tracks and claws and you had to hang around with the most eager side kick that Scott could find. It could be worse, you could be stuck with Lydia. When she went on these sort of searches she acted like she'd been sent by the FBI.
