Trust me

Why Theo was necessary you had no idea. After everything the pack had gone through. It felt like Scott didn't trust you. That he wanted you watched over. He was a horrible presence that you hated. He insisted that you hated him, because you liked you. You agreed to disagree when you pointed out the terrible things he'd done.

"I say we just get out there and look for them." Theo said as he snapped the book he'd been reading shut.

"That would be idiotic and besides, Scott asked us to research the hunt. Not go and get lost in it!" You snapped. He rolled his eyes and you gave him the hardest glare you could.

"It is the best option. Learn by doing."

"Learn by dying you mean."

"I'm not sitting around here doing nothing while they run around the town."

"Well if we figure out how to stop them..."

"Not the hunt. Scott, the pack. We get stuck in the library while they're out there!"

You decided to ignore him. You couldn't stand him as it was. How Scott could let him help was beyond you. The only person who seemed to like him was Liam and even then they fought tooth and nail. The least he could do after all the trouble he caused for the pack, would be to actually help, for once.

"You're sure this will work?" You asked Lydia.

"Probably. Possibly." She said as she held your hands either side of the fire.

"So what are we doing? With a candle. In a dark room, in the middle of nowhere... with that." You gestured to Theo at the last part. He grimaced at you and rolled his eyes.

"I'll be waiting outside." He said.

There was an awkward silence that hung in the air after Theo left. Lydia raised her eyebrows as she fiddled with some of the things on the table.

"What?" You asked her.

"You should be nicer. He's trying to be nicer."

"Is he even capable?" You asked sarcastically.

"Just give him a chance! Please. You're the only one that has made any progress with him. He wants to get along with you. Scott needs him to fit in. So he'll belong." Lydia explained hopefully.

"Maybe Scott should stop giving out second chances like candy." You muttered. She chuckled and shook her head.

"We have a problem." Theo said as he burst back into the room. I can hear something and it doesn't sound like it's good." Theo warned. He grabbed at your arm as he tried to rush Lydia as she grabbed her things.

"You're sure about this?" You snapped as you yanked your arm from his grip as he left the way out of the building.

"Will you just trust me?" He growled under his breath as he glanced around the corner, seeing how far it was the Stiles in the jeep, the other side of the car park.
