"Calm down. They're going to love you." Bradley assured me as he rested his right hand on my thighs.

I shook my head. "You can't be too sure of that. I did call your company out for racism."

"And you have every right to do so," he replied. "What that woman did was unethical and she's the one paying for the consequences for the clients lost, not you."

I took a deep breath then released it. "Have you ever introduced your parents to a black woman as your girlfriend before?"

He glanced at me. "I've never introduced my parents to any woman." After a few seconds of silence, he continued. "I've also never dated a black woman before."

"Tsk, tsk...that doesn't make me feel any better. You said your parents are not racist and they probably aren't however, not everyone wants their child to be dating outside of their race."

"That might be true with some family but it isn't the same with mine. Do you remember what I told you about my aunt and uncle? My mother knew how much hurt it caused my uncle when their parents told him to leave because he brought back a woman from Africa. My mother would never do anything like that to hurt me. Neither would my father." Bradley chuckled, "He's the last one to judge anyone. His family side of the family is the definition of scandalous. My grandma has been married six times and divorced five. She has three different children with three different men, all the men are from different ethnicity. Her fifth husband was Nigerian but she divorced him because he was "too complicated." Her current husband is Indian and now she's complaining about sex," he frowned and shook his head. "She's definitely divorcing him before the year ends. My brothers and I have a bet too."

I laughed. "Okay. I get your point." My family isn't half as complicated as his. There were all black and they all married in their race or similar ethnicity. I looked at him seriously now, How do you know that this is not a passing fantasy. How do you know if you really like me?"

He glanced at me, "First and foremost. I don't like you. I love you. I think I've shown you this past week how much." He did. He barely left my side all week and he took every chance he got to tell me he loved me. Even Mia has started to like him and Mia doesn't like anyone.

He reached over and placed his right hand on my thigh and squeezed. "I love you and my family will love you too." He smiled. "We're here."

I turned my gaze and the first thing I noticed was the fancy iron gates. I was already impressed. When the gate automatically opened I glanced at Bradley. "How is that possible?"

He chuckled, "Remember Jacob, the pilot? His brother Jericho is the genius who created this security system. There is a camera that picks up license plates and when those that are registered on the system pass the camera, the gate automatically opens."

"Wow, impressive."

Bradley nodded. "Yes. It is."

As we drove slowly down the lane the big grey house started to reveal itself, or should I say mansion. It was beautiful.

"Wow." I looked at Bradley, "You grew up here?"

He nodded and chuckled, "Yes. I did."

"Maybe we should get married after all." I joked and Bradley laughed.

"We are getting married, no doubt about that." he parked the car about thirty feet from the entrance of the house and then turned to me with a smile. "Are you ready to get married?"

I chuckled. "You're so confident that they'll like me. Did you tell them to like me or else?"

He placed his hands on his chest, "Me? Never?" but his voice was laced with laughter.
