I woke up this morning with the intent to ignore Bradley. I felt utterly humiliated by the fact that he walked away from me last night. Wasn't it women who usually reject men?

Somehow he managed to redeem himself, stating how much we both would regret sleeping together last night. He was probably right.

I'm a virgin for Pete sakes.

Is Bradley Mefford the guy I want to give my virginity?

Probably not, but I have no doubt that it would have been amazing.

Now I'm just left to think about what could have been.

I chuckled to myself, "This is crazy."

"Yea, I 100% agree. Only crazy people talk to themselves."

I jumped at the voice me and held my chest, "There is something called knocking." I turned around and met Bradley's grey eyes.

He shrugged, "The door was opened."

I sighed, "Anyways, there is nothing wrong with talking to yourself."

"Mmm..." He lifted his brows, "It's lunchtime."

I nodded, "Yeah, I know. You didn't have to come up here to tell me, I know."

He ignored my cheeky reply, "Well, then let's go."

He led the way to the kitchen.

"How was your meeting?" I asked to kill the silence.

"It was okay. I'm starting to get the hang of online conferencing. It might start doing it more often instead of flying out for two-hour meetings."

"I've never heard anyone complain about flying before." I'd love to see the city from above, but unfortunately, I don't have just luxury.

"When you do it as often as I have, it becomes a strain, and I don't really fancy helicopters. "

"A few months ago, I bought a digital camera. I'd sell a kidney to be able to fly in a helicopter. I'd get some beautiful shots of the city."

"Keep your kidney. I'll fly you for free."

"What?" Did I hear him correctly?

"When we get back to the city I'll book a flight for you with my pilot. Free of charge."

"Really?"

He smiled, "Really."

I smiled at him, "Thank you. I owe you one."

He smiled again, "In that case, let's get going."

"To where?" I asked.

Bradley picked up a basket that was laying on the kitchen counter and gave me a slow smile. "A picnic in the garden."

I stared at him. Before I opened my mouth to respond, he took my hand and led me outside. "See how beautiful it is. The sun is okay; the birds are chirping. Perfect time for a picnic." He pulled me towards the garden and released my hand when we were in the centre. He placed the basket on the ground and then laid a blanket on the grass. He neatly arranged the meal he prepared along with the dishes and wine glasses.

"Have a seat."

At his command, I took a seat on the grass. I looked at him, waiting to see what would happen next.

He chuckled at my reaction and handed me a plate.

He took the wrap from the bowl, revealing the mini sandwiches. He took up three and placed on his plate. He placed his plate on the grass beside him then he poured two glasses of champagne. He handed one to me and took the other for himself.
