A,N: Hello dear readers. I am back with a new Vrains chapter. Have to get used to the new way of writing Yugioh for sure. Lol. Luckily for you this chapter called so bad, I just had to write it. That and it is different than all my other Yugioh stories so it peeks my interest. It is not as long as usual but hope that is okay. With further ado have fun reading.
Crissy's p.o.v.
"I am home!".
That was the first words I spoke as I entered the doorstep to our penthouse apartment. It was one of the perks being sister to one of the systems admins at Sol tech. Not that I really cared about our status in the world really. I would toss away all of this if it helped me getting closer to my big sister. Sure, even as kids we didn't see eye to eye if I recall. Or maybe I was wrong? My memories before the lost incident were hazy. All I knew was that after that the rift between us got even bigger and the distance between us grew. Without Yusaku in my life I was not sure how my life would have turned out now a decade later. The fear of me being in lockdown at a mental facility like Kolter's brother Jin were always present in my mind. I felt so fortunate being friends with Yusaku. With his help I am actually able to muster words now. Even though it is only to A.I machines, younger no judging children and Him when we are all alone. Speaking of which:
"Welcome home lady Crissy! Hope your day was satisfactory " I was greeted minutes later by our maid robot I named Missy. She was well a robot with high intelligence and were like a butler and maid to us. All in one combi.
"Yeah!" I said and sent her a big smile, before handing her the bag with the grocery.
"Oh, this is great" Missy beamed out happily "Dinner will be done soon. Do you intend to eat the pudding you brought miss, or do you want me to put in the refrigerator?".
I hummed slightly at that. I was a big fan of all sweet things, but out of all of them pudding was my favorite. Not that I bought a lot of it. My sister was strict, and I was only given thing I wanted if I could tell her it. It was her way of getting me to talk, which was not going so well. My sister, Kristina was with a good word scary.
"No thank you. It is dessert for dinner tonight" I mused out in a low voice. Kristina would be mad if I ate sweets before dinner.
"Noted" Missy beeped and began rolling further into the apartment. It was clear her objective was the kitchen and after I had taken off my shoes, I followed her.
"Do you need help?" I asked which made the maid bot turn towards me.
"Oh, my lady. You should not trouble yourself...".
"I insist" I said in a firm tone and send her a look she knew too well. It was my 'end of discussion' look which had Missy beep computing the new data.
"The veggies need to be cut" she then told me.
Soon we were both in the kitchen doing our separated chores and dressed for the occasion. More me than Missy of course. Before helping her, I had rushed inside my room and changed from my school uniform to a set of comfortable clothes. That being black shorts, an orange top, slippers and a nice black apron. My hair was of course pulled up in a ponytail and covered by a hairnet. Just for safety. Right now, I was cutting the carrots and veggies into small pieces. Missy was taking care of the meatloaf. At the same time, we were having small chitchat about the day. I could not explain why it was so easy for me to talk to Missy or any machinery connected with the net. It just was. Something my sister or anyone really didn't understand.
"So, how was school?" Missy asked.
"Boring" I mused out. "It was a rephase of things I already knew".
