~Prologue~

It begins after HYDRA infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D...

Broad daylight in the middle of the Freeway, The Winter Soldier returns...

He lands on the roof of Samuel Wilson's car, pulls Sitwell out through the window and throws him into the oncoming traffic, killing him in seconds.

Moments later, he starts shooting at the trio until Steve pulls the break handle, flinging the super soldier a couple hundred feet down the freeway, making the Winter Soldier drop down onto the street, as another car smashes into the trio's car and pushes them along, the Winter Soldier jumps back onto their car, smashes through the windscreen and pulls out the steering wheel.

"Shit!" Wilson shouts as Natasha starts shooting at the soldier. The Winter Soldier jumps onto the vehicle behind them, and as the trio's car is being pulled off the road Captain Rogers holds on to the car door, preparing for their exit...

"Hang on!" Rogers shouts as he breaks open the door, holding onto Natasha and Sam, the three of them slide on the car door through the streets, not quite to safety, but farther away from the enemy. The Winter Soldier is joined by HYDRA agents and they start shooting at them, the trio scatter and run off in different directions with the Winter Soldier shooting at Natasha but she manages to shoot him in his eye goggle mask before taking off into the streets to warn civilians of his coming.

"Она у меня. Найди его (She's mine I'll take care of her, Find him.)" the Winter Soldier orders the other HYDRA members before he goes in pursuit of Natasha Romanoff.

The Hydra agents go after Steve and Sam who both manage to fend them off as they shoot at them, and shortly into the battle, Steve notices the Winter Soldier in pursuit of Agent Romanoff.

"Go, I got this!" Wilson yells to Steve, buying him more time with his own weaponry. Meanwhile the Soldier is still on the hunt for a certain Natasha Romanoff. The question still remains, who is this man and what does he want with a shield Agent, a civilian with wings, and a 70 year old super soldier? The Winter Soldier himself probably couldn't tell a soul why this was his mission...it was all he knew, that's what he's been programmed to do.

"I make an LZ, twenty-three hundred block of Virginia Avenue. Rendezvous two minutes. Taking fire above and below expressway. Civilians threatened. Repeat, civilians threatened..." By now the soldier hears the sound of Agent Romanoff's voice and he thinks he's found Natasha hiding behind a car as he can hear her voice a few feet away...little does he know, she's not really there...

He proceeds to roll a bomb towards where he thinks she's hiding, and right as the bomb rolls Natasha attacks the mysterious soldier from behind. Agent Romanoff swiftly jumps onto the Winter Soldier's back and tries to strangle him from behind but he throws her off, and attempts to shoot her, only for Natasha to throw an electric device which shocks his electric arm before escaping the masked assassin. He removes the device, and recalibrates his arm before going back for Natasha.

"GET OUT OF THE WAY! STAY OUT OF THE WAY!" Natasha shouts into the streets making sure civilians begin running for cover. Agent Romanoff suddenly gets shot in the shoulder and falls to the ground, and she made quick to get behind a vehicle to avoid being shot again. She looks around her, only for the Winter Soldier to come up for behind, ready to shoot her again, before The winter soldier can claim another fatality, Steve Rogers jumps in and blocks a punch from the soldier and takes over the battle.

With his shield as protection, he's able to dodge hits and bullets and he kicks the super soldier away, followed by him blocking a few hits as well as bullets coming from the Assassin.

For only a moment, The Winter Soldier briefly takes Steve's shield, and throws it at him, but Steve manages to avoid being hit. Then they fiercely battle it out. The two tried their hardest to overpower each other, but it's what the two of them don't know that sets the stage for the irony to be revealed.

Eventually, Steve manages to stop the Winter Soldier's arm, and throws him off of him, causing the soldiers mask to take flight.

Once the soldier lands and looks at Steve, Steve then takes in the Winter Soldier's concealed identity.

"Bucky...?"

"Who the hell is Bucky?"

Who the hell is Bucky? A better question would be, who the hell is Bucky going to become?
