Motherhood: The only place you can experience heaven and hell at the same time. But we all know it's worth every pain, every sleeplessness nights because a child is the beginning of all new things—wonder and hope.

This is Scarlett hoping and praying for.

Sa kulang isang taon nilang pagsasama ng kanyang asawa ay lahat na ng klaseng paraan advance man o alternative para magkaanak ay sinubukan nila but none if it works.

Scarlett began to question her capabilities of carrying a child.

Like today..

Scarlett is looking hard at her reflection on the mirror. Thinking why God can't give the only wish she's dying for? Bakit ang damot ng pagkakataon, kung bakit paulit ulit syang nabibigo kapag negative ang lumalabas sa pregnancy test kit.

Again. In so many familiar moments like this.

Scarlet just sigh. So down and regrets.

She took a long shower para kahit paano ay maibisan ang bigat ng kanyang pakiramdam. Scarlet used to cry in the bathroom where she sense a comfort in so many places. Because in bathroom, no one can see, no one can hear——No one's gonna know how weak she is.

This twenty six years old woman wears multiple hats in her career. A formidable surgeon in the city, a founder and leader of multistate health system organization in the country.

Scarlett already have it all.

At the office, Scarlett is quiet but her mind is busy wondering what was really wrong. According sa mga test sa kanilang mag-asawa normal naman ang lahat but why they couldn't.

May biglang kumatok ss pintuan bago ito bumukas at pumasok ang isang magandang babae. "Good morning Dr. Rivas." Napatingin si Scarlett  sa kanya habang binababa nito ang mainit init na cup ng kape. "Espresso."

Scarlett leans back against the chair and smiles. "You don't have to do that every morning Monique."

Monique is such a good friend of Scarlett since they were High School. They went to the same Universities, same course, they both graduated with Honors and now they are working in the same hospital.

Monique idolize Scarlett so much.

Natawa si Monique. "Hayaan mo na ako Shi." She addressed her in a nickname. "Eto lang naman ang kaligayahan ko, ang pagsilbihan ka ng kape tuwing umaga."

Though Scarlett is a bit heartbroken about the pregnancy test this morning ay napangiti sya ni Monique. "Ikaw talaga." Kinuha nya ang kape. "Thank you."

"May surgery ka ba today?"

Tumango si Scarlett. "I have 2 surgeries. A 5 years old girl." She thought about the kid. "Her name is Ivy."

Nailing si Monique. "So young." Then she looks at Scarlett face. Monique noticed the sadness in her best friend's eyes.  She knows Scarlett even the tiniest details of her mood, even the facial expressions. "Are you okay Shi?"

Scarlett kind of expected the question from her. She can't hide anything from Monique——sometimes she hated it. "It's negative." Inamoy amoy ni Scarlet ang kape nya. Monique is one of her best confidant. Someone who can she vent as in everything. "Again."

Tahimik na naupo si Monique. "Again..."

"Hindi ko na alam Monique." Sobrang down na sabi ni Scarlett. Her beautiful face softened like she wanted to cry. "I feel tired about this."

"Jutst relax." Pag-alo no Monique kay Scarlett. Actually she didn't like the idea of the baby, it was Forest idea to have a baby so bad, that he brainwashed and pressured Scarlett to have one. She didn't like the guy after all pero for the sake of her Best friend, Monique always try her best to be civil with him in all forms. "Maybe take a break from this Hospital, go on a vacation——"
