Cebu is heaven on Earth.

It's so beautiful that makes me want to live here for good.

The province is rich in white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and marine life. There are many forest reserves, mountains and hills, that are perfect for those who love forest trekking. Cebu is also rich in historical places that can suit the desires of those who are culture enthusiasts.

As for now, beach palang ang napupuntahan ko with my co-doctors kahit na sinabi ko kay Monique na work ang pinunta ko dito. But who i am to resist the temptations of Cebu's beauty and what it can offer.

"Ang ganda naman dyan." Tuwang sabi ni Rare habang nagvivideo call kami.

Hinarap ko ang camera sa dagat ng resort kung saan kami tumutuloy. "Mas maganda ka parin."

Ngumiti ng pagkalaki laki si Rare. "Of course." Tumayo sya at kumuha ng tubig sa mini fridge. "Kelan ka uuwi?"

"Soon." Sagot ko. "Ikaw kelan mo bumalik ng bahay?"

Simula kasi nang umalis ako, sa mother ni Rare sya umuwi pasalamanta dahil may din sakit ito.

"Pag-uwi mo siguro o pag okay na si Mama." Malungkot nyang sabi. "Hindi ko din sila maiwanan ngayon."

Hinarap ko ang camera sakin, so we can see each other. "Take her to the hospital Rare, tell Monique to give——"

"Scarlett..." She stops me immediately. "My mother is dying, wala nang gamot ang makakapaggaling sa kanya."

Actually cancer is curable especially kung early stage palang nadetect. Maraming option, maraming treatment. But in our country, kapag severe or terminal na ang pasyente ay saka lang nagpapa check up at huli ang lahat.

There are two reason. First, most of filipino ay takot sa Doctor kaya karamihan ay nagseself medicate nalang which is not advisable. Second is walang pera, na imbis ipangbili ng gamot ay ibibili nalang ng pagkain.

And as a doctor, it makes me heart broken.

But that's the reality.

"What are you planning now?" I asked.

Sumandal sya sa upuan. "Nothing, really. I just need to be here for her."

"How about your father? Do you know anything about him?" Wala kasi akong alam sa father nya.

Umiling si Rare. "Hindi ko sya kilala, naghiwalay daw sila nang hindj nya nasasabi sa father ko nabuntis sya sakin."

I just listen.

"Hindi narin sya hinanap ni Mama." Katwiran ni Rare. "Bakit pa diba? Okay naman kami." Pero bakas sa mukha nya ang lungkot at pangungulila. "Hindi ko kailangan ng ama."

"Rare.." Paghinga ko ng malalim. "Trust me, i understand you but please don't say that."

Her hands start to shake. "Kailangan namin sya ngayon, lalo na ngayon."

"You have to be strong for your mother, Rare."

Bigla syang napatakip ng mukha nya. Rare cries in her hands and i feel so bad for not being there for her.

"It's okay my baby, I'm here." I tried to soothe her broken heart. "Hindi kita papabayaan."

But she just cry——so much.

I understand her pain because i lost my parents too. Mas masakit pa sa kahit anong break up o betrayal. Yung sugat na dulot ng pagkawala nila ay kahit kailanman ay hindi maghihilom.

"Do you want me naked for you?" Bigla ko nalang nasabi out of nowhere.

From crying in pain to laugh hysterically. "F*ck Scarlett." She removes her hand off her face. "That what is so random."
