The game itself isn't intense but Claire and I.

I know what i did is too risky—more like an admission of having interest with Rare. But i couldn't care less anymore, i won't let Claire to take advantage of the situation. At least not under my watch dahil hindi ko naman laging kasama si Rare.

I trust Rare though.

That she will not let herself suffer again from someone's irresponsibility.

"Ang layo ata ng iniisip mo."

Napukaw ang pag-iisip ko nang magsalita si Rare. We are at the coffee shop, only me and her. Claire walked out after the game dahil natalo sila. "Hindi naman."

"Really?" She's not believing me.

"Work." I lied. I didn't look at her.

I know she knows i lied but she didn't force me to tell the truth. "Sino kaya nakabaril kay Claire kanina.."

I give her a sideway glance. "Bakit?"

Hinalo ni Rare kape nya, na kahit sobrang init na nga, nakuha nya pang magkape. Samantalang sakin ay cold drink. "She looks really upset nong umalis sya. Ni hindi nga sya nagpaalam satin or whatever."

"Kasi hindi ka nya naidate." Sagot ko and really tried to suppress the smile on my face. "And never will she."

"Mm very possessive." ,Rare whispered under her breath. "And i like that."

Natawa ako. "I'm just protecting you Rare."

"Only protecting me?" It's more like a challenging question to me.

"Rare.." Hinawakan ko ang kamay nya. "I won't lie, i won't deny that i still love you and always will. But we both know, we couldn't-——right now." Nagtitigan kaming dalawa, the way she looks at me is very settling. "Pero lagi kong pinagdarasal na sana dumating yong oras na magigig ikaw at ako."

Hinilig ni Rare ang ulo nya sa balikat ko at pinagsalikop ang mga daliri namin. "Hihintayin ko ang oras na yan, kahit gaano katagal o kahit gaano kasakit ang mga darating na pagsubok between us."

This love——the situation, the risk. Is definitely overwhelming and difficult. Especially with Forest and the possible pregnancy for our baby.

Rare and I fell silent for a moment. She has a thoughtful look on her face, i wonder what she's thinking——I did not dare to ask though.

Because one thing i learned about Rare is whenever she's ready, she would tell, she would speak.

"May malapit bang lugawan dito?" Bigla nyang tanong sakin.

"Lugawan?"

Tumango sya. "Oo—"

"Meron ata?" I'm not even sure. Madalas naman kami dito before but many things had changed. "I remember may paresan at gotohan sa bandang kanto nitong lugar. Why? Are you hungry?"

"Ah no." She looks a little uncomfortable. "I want to buy for.." Umiwas sya ng tingin. "Someone's very special to me."

And who is that someone?

"Sure."

Kaya agad kaming naglakad papunta sa gotohan at mabuti nalang ay nandito parin sila after many years. Bumili si Rare ng dalawang order ng lugaw, nilagang itlog at lumpiang sariwa.

"Ang dami mong nabili ah." Sabi ko sa kanya habang pasakay kami ng sasakyan. "She must be very special to you."

"She is." Pagsang-ayon nya sakin with this big smile on her face. "Ah Scarlett, pwede mo ba akong ihatid?"
