My heart is pounding hard against my chest, i feel like having a heart attack the moment Rare looks me. She mirrored the shock on my face—as we are both speechless. But hers quickly melts away and put her stoic face.

"Rare, this is Forest." Pakilala ni doctor. "And Scarlett, the couple you are going to help as surrogate."

Hindi ko alam kung ang sasabihin o kung paano magrereak lalo pa na kasama ko si Forest. I'm not even sure if he would still remember Rare from the park but knowing him....

"Wait." Tumayo si Forest na medyo may pagtataka. "You look very familiar to me." Titig na titig sya kay Rare. "Have we met before?"

And Rare gives him a to die for smile, something I really like about her. "I'm pretty sure not."

How i misses that.

Natawa si Forest with a shake of his head. "Siguro nga or kamukha mo lang."

"Maybe." Pagsang-ayon ni Rare. It was only Forest who sees her at the park, nakalikod pa at minuto lang nakita.

Then he turns to me and holds on my waist. "Anyway This is my wife Scarlett."

She is emotionless but her eyes are unsympathetic. "Hello, Scarlett.."

Parang gusto kong magbreak down the moment she said my name.

"Hi.." Words are too heavy on my throat. I didn't trust my voice neither dahil baka kung magsasalita pa ako ay bigla akong maiyak.

Titig na titig lang si Rare sakin, maybe judging and cursing me dahil sa pangloloko na ginawa ko sa kanya. I didn't mean it though——F*ck me. I did it. Wala na dapat excuses.

"I have to go to the restroom." I excused myself instead, hindi ko na nga hinintay si Forest sumagot.

Nagmamadali akong lumabas ng office bago pa bumagsak ang luha ko. Heck I'm not even sure kung paano ako nakarating ng comfort room because the last thing i realize ay iyak na iyak na ako sa isa mga cubicle.

At biglang tumunog ang cellphone ko. No, i didn't want to pick up but it won't stop ringing. So i took it out of my bag.

Why she's calling me?

But i answered it anyway.

"Scarlett, I have something to tell you——"
Lalo lang akong naiyak pagkarinig ko palang sa kanya. "Scarlett.." Parang alam ko na ang sasabihin nya at gayundin sya sakin. "Oh Shi.. I'm really sorry."

Monique stayed over the phone just listening to my sobbing and painful cries.

I actually appreciate her presence and gesture.
