*alarm rings*

Tara was frustrated. She checked the wall clock. It was only 6. Adi's phone didn't stop ringing. He wasn't waking up either. She was laying with her head on his chest. She hit him twice and asked him to switch it off but he was sound asleep.

She groaned and climbed halfway over him to reach the nightstand. She finally got his phone in her hand, she switched it off and once again reached over to drop it on the stand.

Adi opened his eyes because something kept shifting on top of him. He rubbed his eyes in confusion. Tara sat up and started to yell at him

"Ethuku alarm vecha Adi. Leave la thaana irukom. 6 maniku alarm romba thevaiya. En thookam pochu po" she kept yelling at him.

But he was very sleepy, he didn't even hear half of what she was saying. He just held her waist and pulled her back down.

He kissed her head and hugged her from the back. That calmed Tara down.

"Sorry ma" he mumbled in his sleep. He didn't even know what he was apologizing for.

They went back to sleep.

Adi woke up first. She was in his arms and her fingers wrapped around his hand. It looked so tiny when compared to his hands. She had the same innocence when she slept.

Adi brought her closer and caressed her hair. She smiled in her sleep. His breath hitched for a second. How can someone look so good even in their sleep He thought. He could get used to this sight.

And then he saw the time. It was 10:30, and surely if they go downstairs together, Rakesh and Varun might ask some questions they can't lie to. Well, at least she can't.

Once, Adi took her to their football place. They made out in the locker room after the match, when Varun asked where they went, Adi was about to lie but Tara just pointed to the place and said they were kissing. Adi's jaw dropped. She just said it casually and left. Varun kept shaking his head, as if it would remove that information from his head. When he asked about it later, she just shrugged and said "Ithula enna iruku"

Adi was thinking about how he can avoid this awkward situation. He zoned out. Suddenly he felt a kiss on his cheek. He looked down to see Tara blushing like a tomato. He was amused. Now why was she blushing - he thought

"Apdi paakatha"

He just realized he was staring at her when he zoned out.

"Sorry ma etho yosichitu irunthen"

"Athukunu ipdiya, nee blink kooda panla theriyuma. Romba intense ah irunthichu" she sighed

He threw his head back and laughed. She looked at this face. It was a little red, his hair was messy and his eyes had a spark to them.

Ever since they got here, he always had a frown on his face, and his eyes were dull. Even though he laughed and played around, his eyes always had a hesitation. Like someone would take away his laughter. He was tense and guarded as if someone might rob them. Tara was in constant worry, seeing his state. She wondered if he'll ever be truly happy in this place.

And today, she finally saw it. His eyes reflected the happiness he was feeling. His shoulders were relaxed. His body was not tense. His dimple showed itself a lot. She breathed in relief. A corner of her heart beamed in pride because she was the reason for his happiness.

She finally spoke

"Arghhhh po Adi it's not fair, nee thoongi enthirucha kooda paaka fresh ah iruka. Mudi kalanjalum nalla iruku. Enaku thaan etho bird nest mathiri iruku"

He looked at her like she grew two heads.

"Maaa birds nest ah, do you have any idea how long I've been staring at you. Evlo azhaga iruka theriyuma. Sleep la kooda you look beautiful. Athuvum oru vaati siricha paaru, I forgot how to breathe for a second"

She just blushed not knowing what to reply.

Just then Adi remembered

"Aiyayoooo ma it's almost 11"

"Irunthitu potum" she smirked and said it in his slang on purpose

A taste of his own medicine - he thought.

"Rakesh Varun kandipa ipo keela irupanga. Namma innum varlaya nu mela vanthanga, na sethen"

"Aiyo avunga onnum solla maatanga Adi"

"Etheyyyy unna onnum solla maatanga nu sollu. Ennalam straight ah murder thaan, athuvum rakesh laam katthi vechu kuthunalum aachariyam ila"

Tara laughed at his state

"Maa sirikatha maa enthirchu un room ku poi fresh aagu pleaseeeee"

"Seri seri poren. Ipo enna avungala samalikanum avlo thaana? Nee ready aaitu keela po first uh, avungala patha odane Tara innum varlaya nu kelu, moonu perum konja neram pesunga. Athuku apro mela vanthu enna kootitu po okay?"

He smiled widely

"Thanks Kedi" he kissed her cheek and pushed her out of his room.
