Ravi and Rani arrived

Adi's mother opened the door

"Vaanga" that's all she said

Rani was quick to ask
"Adi enga"

"Mela thaan irupan"

Ravi remained silent. He was peeking to see if Venu was there.

"Na mela poi paathitu varen nga"

Ravi nodded

Rani was about to climb up when she saw Adi walking down, she smiled widely when she saw his face. But his concentration was somewhere else. She turned to see him holding someones hand. He kept mumbling "paathu porumaiya". She looked up from the joined hands. Her smile dropped. Adi was with a girl. His grip on her was getting tighter. Not wanting to see this anymore, she quickly turned back and went to her husband in the living room

"Va da kezhava" a voice echoed

Rani and Ravi immediately looked up. Rani always found their bickerings cute. Nothing is more funny thaan two grumpy old men.

"Inga nee thaan da kezhavan! Ennala burger sapda mudiyum unnala mudiyuma" Ravi smirked

He immediately heard two people giggling. One was a woman's voice, he turned to his daughter in anticipation because she never laughs at his jokes. But to his dismay, Adi's mother was sitting with a neutral expression on her face.

Before he could think about other possibilities, Adi walked in

"Va da Adi! Epdi-"

There was a girl with him. Rakesh and Varun came quickly and stood beside Tara.

Rani sighed and thought maybe the girl is related to Rakesh and Varun or maybe she's their friend. He was holding her hand because she might have been hurt. Rani kept creating scenarios in her head.

"Thatha. Paati. Ithu Sithara. Ennoda Sithara" Adi took a deep breath

Tara waved hesitantly

After what felt like forever,

"Hello ma!" Ravi spoke first. He smiled.

Rani was still processing this information. She cleared her throat

"Naanga inga vanthathu unaku oruthanga ponnu tharen nu sonnnathaala. Ana nee already oru ponna kupitu vanthita pola"

Tara was taken aback. The mere thought of Adi marrying someone else was enough to make her tear up. But she blinked to stop herself from crying. Her mind was spiraling. What if he never feels like he could marry her, what if she never makes him feel home, what if she fails to give him the love he deserves-

"Na ivala love panren. Ivalala mattum thaan enna paathuka mudiyum nu na namburen. She's my everything. Athunala thaan na unga kita poi solala" Adi said as he held her hand

Tara looked up and saw his face. She shed a few tears without realizing.

Rani noticed it. She sighed. A girl will only cry for someone she considers to be family.

"Seri Adi. But enaku innum manasu kekala. Na ava kita konjam pesikava. Neeyum koodave iru venumna"

Adi looked at her. She nodded.

"Nee work panriya"

Tara sighed. Easy question.

"Ama"

"Coimbatore la enga iruka"
