Another Encounter
Heejin's POV
That guy from the convenience store, I starting to question why I kept bumping into him. He was at the cafe, then at the restaurant me and Mr. Kang went to and now there he was entering the grocery.
I needed to buy some ingredients, essentials and some batteries for my TV remote. I went around the store placing some milk, oil, soil, and others I needed to restock my kitchen.
"Now fresh meat." I mumble and head to the meat section. I needed some pork slices for my bulgogi, however there was only one tongs for people to use. That one and only tong was being used by a man. Now that I see him a bit closer he looks... Handsome I guess.
"Ah will you use it?" He asks as he was about to place it back. "Yes thank you." I nod and take it from his hand. "Welcome." He says with a smile. I give him a small smile and turn to pick out my sukiyaki cut meat.
I can sense he's a bit hurt when he left, maybe I should've started some conversation but I'm honestly not up for that. What if he asks me to be his friend at the end of whatever talk, I wouldn't want that. Why? Because I don't want to have any friends. I only had one. My best friend who didn't think smart was weird but instead thought it was cool. Her name was Kim Yejin.
The door opened as I entered my lonely apartment. I placed my keys on the table and started to sort the groceries I just bought. After cooking and eating I just changed into more comfortable clothes. A sweater and loose pants.
Conversations with people who wanted to be there for me weren't really comforting. But musical lyrics were just different. I sat knees to my chest with my head resting on my crossed arms. "Yejin~ah... D- do yo-u miss me?" I say stuttering.
I felt a tear slowly fall and soon a small stream of water started to flow down my cheeks.
