Resignation
Heejin's POV
"Sir may I come in?" I ask and he shouts a yeah. "What is it?" He says in an annoyed tone. "I wanted to give you this." I say and place an envelope on his table.
"Thank you for this job. It has been... eventful and I'm grateful for the pay I was given." I say as he opens the envelope. His eyes go wide and I just look at him "It's been a pleasure working with you sir. I'm sure you'll be happy with me gone, after I pass on my work to Jaehyun that is of course." I say and he scoffs.
"More than glad you're finally quiting. Been waiting for more than 4 years." He says and I bow heading to the exit. "I'm sure you have." I say and leave the room.
"Jaehyun~ah here's the last file." I say to my co-worker. "Thanks noona. I'm sad though that you're leaving." He says and I smile softly "Thank you Jaehyun. It was fun for me too working alongside you." I say and leave. I had submitted my resignation a month ago and now I'm finally free.
Every person I passed by was focused on their work, working their hardest. Another feeling came and my body felt too heavy to carry.
