"Mom I'm — Oh," Shuichi mumbled after he arrived at his house. There stood a note on the door, reading:
"𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰, 𝘚𝘩𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘪. 𝘐'𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘦'𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 — 𝘐 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬, 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺. 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘐'𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘦! — 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦, 𝘈𝘬𝘪."
"What's wrong?" Kokichi asked, tilting his head to the side.
Shuichi murmured as he took a closer look at the note, "My mom left a note which says that she needs to go to my uncle's house. She noted that she'll be leaving for about a week."
"Oh, okay," Kokichi answered, "Your mom won't mind me staying over, right?"
"Yeah, probably not. Come on, let's go, we have a lot to do," Shuichi said as he opened the door.
//
"Follow me to my room," Shuichi said as he took Kokichi's hand and led him to his room.
"Are you seriously holding my hand?" Kokichi asked.
"No, I'm not. I'm doing it so you don't get lost," Shuichi murmured in a lazy tone.
"𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦. You're acting like I'm some toddler who would get lost in a house." Kokichi rolled his eyes.
Shuichi shot him a glare, "Still, I have my point. Besides, what's so bad about my hand anyway?"
Kokichi just left it at that, but his lip, and rolled his eyes once again.
Shuichi then headed upstairs, still holding Kokichi's hand, and opened a blue door.
"Welcome to my room," Shuichi smiled.
"Are you sure this is your room and 𝘯𝘰𝘵 a library?" Kokichi teased, staring at his big bookshelf with a ton of books.
"Oh shut it," Shuichi replied, "I just like reading."
Right after he gave Kokichi a small tour, Kokichi asked, "Where's the book?"
"Hold on, it's here. I have it in my bag," Shuichi replied.
"Please don't tell me that you forgot to bring it." Kokichi said, in an unenthusiastic tone.
"Here. Which one of us is gonna read first?" Shuichi asked as he pulled out a book from his bag.
"Wha — We don't need to take turns reading it, silly. We'll just read it together." Kokichi chuckled.
"Okay then." Shuichi replied, with a light chuckle too.
//
After Shuichi and Kokichi read the book, they finally got to the point where they had to write the report.
"Alright, so —" Shuichi said, closing the book and taking a pen from his pencil case, "—let's start."
"Waitwait, do I do like half the report and you do the other half or?" Kokichi asked.
"Let's just do it that way," Shuichi answered while he took a sheet of paper.
The two males worked on the report for a while; they wrote the report for two whole hours, until Shuichi felt something land on his shoulder.
// "22:57 PM" //
"Shuichi, I'm sleepy," Kokichi mumbled. He struggled to keep his eyes open as he laid his head down on Shuichi's shoulder.
"Don't you need to go home?" Shuichi asked while yawning.
"I feel too tired," Kokichi answered lazyly, still resting his head on the other male's shoulder.
Shuichi sighed, "Okay, do you wanna stay here or do you want me to walk you home?"
"Can I stay here?" Kokichi asked.
"Sure. Come here," Shuichi said as he flopped onto his bed.
At this point, Kokichi was too sleepy to even process anything, he then jumped onto the bed as the two quickly fell asleep.
