It was a week into exams which meant that three weeks had went by. It was a painfully long time for Jungkook.

Jimin wanted space for a while, to recollect his thoughts. The older wanted Jungkook to prove how serious he was, which also meant that if Jungkook cared about him enough, he'd give him space too.

Jungkook hated it. He hated it. It was practically a month since he had been with Jimin privately and intimately. They hadn't so much as hugged in a month and it was all because of Jungkook's irrationality. He hated himself for what he did. He had no idea that Jimin saw him kiss the girl. He only did it because he needed a distraction. He was irrational and Jimin was right about him. Despite all the times he was actually mature, the one time he felt heartbroken he decided to do the immature thing and ignore his baby. He hated himself for that. He could only pity himself as he watched Jimin treat him like just a regular student again.

And this time, there were no after school lessons. Jimin had called them off when Jungkook started ignoring him and he refused to continue them now. He told Jungkook to work without him and put in his effort. If he needs help he'll be available during breaks in his classroom but he wasn't doing after school lessons for Jungkook any longer. All the benefits that Jungkook had before were gone.

Of course, neither confessed their feelings yet. Jungkook didn't want to use the "I Love You" card on Jimin just to make the older forgive him. He wanted to work hard and earn the older's trust before he confessed.

Jimin had been watching Jungkook silently. He spoke to Hoseok to ask about his behavior in Math, and he spoke to the other teachers too. He made it seem like it was casual gossip about the 'problem student' but secretly, he wanted to know if Jungkook was serious like he hoped. And the younger was. Jimin was surprised to hear from the teachers that Jungkook had actually been showing up on time, he had been asking questions in class a lot more, he had been focusing and doing the homework. He pulled his socks right up to his knees and worked hard. Jimin was secretly proud of him. After watching him for two weeks, Jimin knew he should forgive him. It was just one mistake that the younger made and they weren't even dating. Yes, Jimin was heartbroken but he also realized that maybe Jungkook felt the exact same way when he heard Jimin accepting Taehyung's date. So, the blonde knew he'd speak to Jungkook but only after his exams. He didn't want to distract him.

Right now, Jungkook was in his bedroom, on a Saturday night. He had told his boss he'd be taking leave from work whenever he had exams. The night before an exam he wouldn't work because he wanted to focus on studies...like Jimin asked of him. What Jungkook didn't know was that Jimin only did this because he wanted the younger to not throw his future away and to not regret not trying harder. Jimin didn't want Jungkook to suffer one day because of this so, he used their situation to motivate Jungkook to give it his all; something that Jungkook hasn't done since the start of high school.

Suddenly, it began storming outside and Jungkook grew restless. It hasn't stormed in a while.

It started off with harsh winds and a cloudy afternoon, but now the light drizzle turned into a huge downpour as the thunder and lightning scared the life out of him.

Jungkook closed his books and immediately shut his eyes, his mind going back to Jimin. He missed him. He wanted him. He needed him. He couldn't stand this one month of separation. It was torture.

Jungkook began to hug himself as he thought of Jimin, his tears escaping his eyes as he realized how he hurt him. The fact he kissed someone else when he knew he was in love with Jimin really made him feel like the worst person on Earth. Jungkook couldn't continue like this.

Jungkook began to think about all the texts and calls Jimin sent him to ask him for an explanation. The older practically begged. Jungkook hated himself for putting Jimin through any type of pain. He always thought Eunha wasn't worthy of Jimin, but now he wondered if he was.
