47 - The Future

Jungkook relaxed into the bubble bath as he had his baby in between his thighs, both resting in the bathtub as the water reached their mid-chest.

Jimin rested his head on Jungkook's chest, feeling the tiredness take over him. Jungkook left sweet kisses to Jimin's shoulder, where multiple bite marks resided.

Jimin sighed, his hand resting on Jungkook's thigh as he rubbed circles on the muscular part with his thumb.

"That was a good stress reliever," Jimin giggled to himself as he finally mustered up some energy to speak. Jungkook just hummed as he kissed Jimin's shoulder further.

"Doesn't change what's going on now," Jungkook whispered.

"I know, baby... Even if the baby is mine, I don't have it in me to break up with you," Jimin pouted although Jungkook couldn't see.

"What do you mean by 'if'?" Jungkook asked as he left new marks to the base of Jimin's neck. Jungkook couldn't help the way he loved marking Jimin up. It was his territory, after all. It was his purpose, as he felt.

"You made a valid point earlier when you said it could be anyone's baby. I was thinking... She said her boyfriend cheated on her. So what if it's his baby, and maybe, because he doesn't want her anymore, she was trying to get me back into a relationship?" Jimin suggested as he turned to his side to look at Jungkook, seeking his opinion on the matter.

"That is plausible. However... The timing? I mean, she definitely could have slept with someone else other than you three months ago. There's no evidence to state the exact time and date that the baby was conceived so... Do you think she's fucking with us?" Jungkook asked as he grew a little upset at the thought. Why would people just try to ruin a perfectly happy relationship? Couldn't she leave Jimin alone? She did her damage. She wasn't needed or wanted anymore.

"I hate to say this, especially if that is my baby, but... We didn't make the fetus out of love. I can't blindly trust her about this. This is a matter of everyone's future, including that baby. Which is why I can't break up with you. Imagine we break up and then it turns out that the baby isn't even mine to start with. How fucked up will that be?" Jimin asked as he cupped some of the bubbles in his hand, playing with the bubbles.

"So you're just with me because you don't believe the baby is yours?"

"No, you fool. I'm saying, we can't rush into thinking too much. Your intentions of our breakup are pure, but, who's gonna feel stupid if she lied to me? Of course, we're gonna suffer. That doesn't mean that I'll break up with you if that baby is mine. I want you in my life just as much as I want my future baby. But... I'm not picking between the two of you. There is no option here," Jimin said as he snuggled further back into Jungkook's chest.

"You're really willing to do that for me?" Jungkook asked. Of course, he didn't say this earlier but Jimin made him feel so loved and important, putting him on the same platform as his supposed future child.

"It's for us... I don't think I've told you this, but I can't live without you. I want you in my future no matter what it takes. I'm at an age where I need to think about my future, I'm getting older. And, I want you in my future. There's no doubt about that," Jimin said as he closed his eyes, leaning against Jungkook's chest.

"I... I want you in my future too... But with this baby... Where will I fit in?" Jungkook asked as he pressed a kiss against Jimin's hair.

"You will be one of its fathers. You may not be the biological dad, but you are my other half. I won't ever let you be on the sidelines, and I'm sure the baby will love you too. Have you seen you? You're absolutely amazing. And you're cute, funny, and pretty to look at. Babies love pretty people," Jimin giggled, turning his head to look at Jungkook. The younger just shook his head with a bright bunny smile on his face.
