50 - Paternity

Another week passed. During this week, Jungkook had grown distant from Jimin. It wasn't a big difference but the blonde noticed how Jungkook was spaced out a lot and often, he was tensed.

Jimin knew it wasn't about their relationship. Jungkook still managed to make Jimin feel loved. He didn't neglect the older. However, Jungkook tried to hide his tension from the older because he didn't want Jimin worrying, and yet the older had caught on. He had caught on, but he didn't pry. He knew Jungkook wouldn't just hide something from him unless it really had no relevance to him. It was probably stress of something else.

And it was.

At the moment, the couple were driving together, towards the usual hospital that they met Eunha at.

Now, she was officially four months pregnant and her baby bump was showing more. What they recently discovered was that her parents had no idea of the pregnancy. Which meant that she had no one to look after her once she reaches the second and third trimester. Which also meant that Jimin had to be the one taking care of her, practically letting her live with him and Jungkook.

That seemed to have caused more stress to Jungkook because he suddenly began to wonder... What if Eunha managed to make Jimin fall in love with her again? That was her initial plan. She wanted to use the baby to get Jimin back... So what if she tried to win Jimin back once she moved in with them? Or worse. Could she seduce Jimin? Honestly, could a pregnant woman seduce Jimin? Jungkook had no idea but the thought just burned him every time he thought about it.

So, for the past couple of days, he's been bitter whenever Jimin had mentioned Eunha. Jungkook felt as if letting her stay with them was too much. However, this was for the baby... Which is what Jungkook kept convincing himself.

At the moment, Jungkook held Jimin's hand in his as they drove to the hospital. Jimin nibbled on his bottom lip before speaking. He turned his attention towards the driver's seat occupied by Jungkook.

"Kookie, I know you're not happy with her moving in-"

"Baby, please... Not now. I'm gonna see her now and... I don't think I'm mentally equipped to handle her. I love you. I love that baby. But her? She's weaseling her way into our lives and I'm so scared," Jungkook just sighed as he parked the car in the lot of the hospital. Jimin just clutched onto Jungkook's hand even further.

"Scared? Kookie, she can't possibly win me back-"

"You don't know that, Jimin. You've loved her once. You can love her again. Plus, she's carrying your baby. Is that not a big enough reason for you to love her again?" Jungkook questioned as he turned his body towards Jimin after shutting down the car.

"I love that baby, and I don't need to love her in order for me to care for the baby. She and I are history. It's over. There's nothing she can say or do to make me love her again. It's all about you, for me. I want you and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. We spoke about this. This baby is ours. Yours, mine, and hers. You have just as much claim over the baby as I do, because you're my boyfriend. My soulmate. Let's not let Eunha make us drift apart, okay?" Jimin spoke.

Jungkook nodded, bringing Jimin's hand up to his lips to peck the back of the older's hand. The action was so sweet that Jimin blushed.

"Let's go take a look at our baby through the monitor," Jungkook smirked, gesturing for him and Jimin to leave the car. Today was another one of those regular check ups. Eunha would go for an ultrasound, as well as see her gynecologist to check her health.

The couple exited the lot and entered the hospital building, walking past the front desk and heading straight to the elevator since they have been here before to accompany Eunha on her monthly check up.
