Patton, Logan and Virgil were sitting  in their compartment waiting for Roman turn up. Roman had to pretend he wasn't going to the compartment with virgil in so he had to sit in a random compartment until they were away from the train station (Romulus had spotted Virgil in Roman's usual compartment).  Patton was cuddling into Logan's side having just sat back from waving bye to his and Logan's parents. Logan had one arm around Patton's shoulders holding him close and the other was holding the book he was trying to read. Virgil was curled up next to the window across from Patton and Logan.  He was holding his knees tightly to his chest, face buried in his knees. He was panicking because 1) Roman's dad sent him the most terrifying glare ever 2) What if his parents found out he was coming to this compartment to sit with him, Patton and Logan. 3) What if Roman hates him for making his parents angry. Patton and Logan had reassured him that the last two things wouldn't happen when they had got on the train but he didn't feel very reassured and he didn't believe them. 'Oh Merlin. he is going to hate me because of that night. He is never going to want to talk to me again.  so I'll di--'

Virgil was brought out of his spiraling thoughts by the loud click of the compartment door opening. Virgil doesn't lift his head up to see who it was because he knew it was going to be Roman and Virgil didn't want to see his face of hatred when Roman saw him. "Salutations, Roman" Logan's greeting only proved Virgil's point of it being Roman at the door. " Hi Roman" Patton giggles out happily as Roman Click's the door shut. "Greetings specs, Padre, Emo nightmare"  Roman greeted before sitting down next to Virgil who just made a noise of greeting. Roman turned to look at Virgil concerned "Virgil, are you ok?" He asked before turning to Patton and Logan when he didn't get a reply "What's wrong with Virgil?". Patton looks over at Virgil sadly. Logan sadly put his book down before speaking "Virgil is scared that you'll hate him because of what happened at the beginning of summer with your parents".  Roman whips his head round to Virgil before engulfing Virgil into a hug. Virgil flinched at the sudden physical contact before leaning into the touch. Virgil feels his chin be lifted by two of Roman's fingers making Virgil look at  Roman. Roman runs his fingers against Virgil's cheek. "I will never hate you Virgil. You are sweet, kind and amazing. What happened with my parents isn't your fault. It's Remus's and Janus's fault. They manipulated my parents into believing their lies. So this isn't your fault. I could never hate you. You're my best friend, Virgil"  Roman said calmly.  Both Virgil and Roman cringe when Roman says friend but only Patton and Logan notice.  Virgil leans into Roman touch more before mumbling "Promise?". The pain in his voice broke both of Roman and Patton's hearts. "I promise," Roman said sternly. Virgil nods before cuddling into Roman's side and listens to them all talk for the rest of the ride to Hogwarts. 

~With Remus and Janus~ 

Janus was feeding his pet snakes while ignoring his crazy boyfriend was rolling around on the floor like an idiot "look jan jan! I'm a snake!" Remus screamed out giggling. "Very bad, Remus, " Janus said, not even looking at him. Remus whines a very high pitch whine "DOUBLE D!! LOOK AT ME!"  Janus sighs and turned to look at his stupid boyfriend. He shakes his head at that stupidity "oh Remus"..
