It's only been a month into the school year and Virgil had already broken his promise to Remus and Janus. Virgil didn't know why but he felt like Roman was a magnet and he was the mental being pulled towards him. With this in mind, it wasn't a surprise when Virgil agreed to meet Roman in secret the other day when Roman cornered him to ask him.

Right now, Virgil was heading to the astronomy tower. Virgil had agreed to meet there because he didn't want Janus and Remus to find out. That's if they even noticed he was gone. Janus and Remus had been spending more and more time together without Virgil which was starting to make Virgil suspicious but he was just blaming that on his anxiety. Virgil was knocked out of his thoughts by Roman talking "Hey emo nightmare. you ok?". Virgil looks at Roman before nodding "yes I'm fine, prince". Roman nods before pointing for Virgil sit down across from him. Virgil slowly sits on the floor across from Roman and fidgets with the him of his sleeve. There was a long pause was awarded silence before Virgil Stutters out "I-I shouldn't be here. I p-promissd my-my friends i-i wouldn't talk to you. I-I shou-"

Virgil was cut off by Roman grabbing Virgil's hands and saying 'Virgil can you list 5 things you can see for me?'

"Y-you, t-the w-window, s-stairs, w-wall, c-ceiling"

"That's good virgil, now 4 things you can hear"

"o-owls, y-you, m-me, floorboards"

"You're doing amazing, virgil. now 3 things you can feel"

"Y-you, floor, c-clothes"

"That's good. now 2 things you can smell"

"your almost there virgil.can you name one thing you can taste"

"Are you calm now?" Roman asked,getting a nod in replay "Good. Now Deceit and Remus don't have to know about this. they're not here now so you don't need to worry. only we will know about this". Virgil nods and smiles slightly.

Roman and Virgil talked for ages until they both realized they should start heading back to their dorms but just before Virgil left Roman asked "Do you want to meet my friends?"

"no"

And virgil disappears. However they continued to meet in secret for months and at the end of every time Roman would ask those same 7 words and Virgil would also say "no" but his confidence in the no was leaking and his want to leave became less and less.
