Sanders Sides: A Hogwarts tail(Complete)

For the next couple of months, Virgil was only seen in classes and in the kitchen by house elves who have been feeding him (and in the hallways onto the why to class by bullies who would beat him up). Virgil spent most of his time either sat on the roof of one of the Hogwarts towers or in moaning myrtle's bathroom chating to myrtle or in moaning myrtle's bathroom crying/having an anxiety. virgil didn't talk to anyone either and after a week or so off this, The teaches stopped asking him questions.  Virgil had stopped meeting up with Roman too. Virgil stopped sleeping at night because if he slept, his mind was filled with nightmares. However, the only people who seemed worried about Virgil's disappearance were Roman (and Patton and Logan but that was only after Roman explained all the meetings and why he was worried). Every time they were on petrol they would look for Virgil but they never found him. Well that was until one late night in April.   

Roman, Patton and Logan were doing petrol together again. They were on the 2nd floor, they last floor they had to check before heading back to their common rooms. As they passed Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, they heard crying and the muttering of something. "Its probably just Myrtle again. she has been crying a lot this week. Come along. it's nearly our curfew time". Logan's words were completely ignored by Patton who rushed into the bathroom, followed by Roman.  Logan just readjust his glasses before walking in and standing at the door to watch Patton and Roman. The sight in front of them shocked them all though.  

Sat there, curled up against the far wall was Virgil. His face was berried into his knees. His whole body was shaking. You could hear his terrifying sobs and healthy breathing as he continued to cry into his knees. Roman recognized him straight away and Patton recognized him as the boy he helped calm down in first year. So they rushed over to help him. Logan stayed at the door because he didn't recognize virgil and because he didn't know what to do. No one but Logan noticed that myrtle was flying over Virgil trying to calm him but couldn't.  

Patton and Roman kneel next to virgil. "hey virgil, stormcloud, can you look up for me please?" Virgil flinched back as he hears Roman thinking he was remus and doesn't look up.  "virgil, it's me Roman" At that Virgil slowly looks up. Patton gasps loudly. Under Virgil's eyes were big dark black bags. Virgil flinched back and looked at Patton and Logan scared. "I'm not going to hurt you. Do you remember me? I helped you before the sorting in 1st year" Patton said calmly. Virgil pauses before nodding slightly as he remembers Patton. He calms down slightly but not fully because of Logan. "That's Logan. Remember I told you about him" Roman said calmly. Virgil nods slightly. 

 "Can you talk" 

Virgil shakes his head, no

"Can I hold you?"

Virgil nods and with that, Roman engulfs Virgil in a hug. Virgil grips tightly onto Roman's shirt, still crying. Roman let's Virgil cry into his chest as Roman rubs his back and whispers soothing things to him. After a while, Virgil's sobs turn into the occasional sniff.  "Are you feeling any better now?" Patton asked calmly now. "y-yeah. thank you" Virgil stuttered.  

"Do you want to talk about this?" Roman asked quietly. Virgil shakes his head, quickly. "Will you at least tell us why you are crying in the bathroom instead of being in your dorm?" Logan asked.  Virgil takes a deep breath before mumbling "i-i don't want to be near remus or Janus, anymore and there's no other dorms free". Everyone nods in understanding.  "Why don't you stay In one of our rooms?'' Roman asked "We all have a room to ourselves". Logan and Patton nod in agreement. "but I don't want to be a bur--" Patton cuts virgil off "you won't be a burden. we are offering. now who's room do you want to stay in?". Virgil thinks for a couple of minutes before mumbling "Roman's". Roman nods and helps Virgil up before getting up himself "Come on then, Gryffindor tower is this way". They all say bye and head to their dorms.
