Today was the the 2nd day back after the Christmas holidays. Virgil, patton and Logan spent it at Logan's house as the Royalty twins were forced to go home for Christmas to make sure they went no where near Virgil. Right now, Virgil was walking through the corridor on his own. He had sneaked away from Patton, Logan and Roman (who were in the library doing homework) because he was already fed up with Roman and Logan's protectiveness even though it's only the 2nd day back. He just wanted some alone time. So every day since the disappearance and murders of muggle burns and muggle raised students started happening and Roman/logan started being really protective, Virgil has been sneaking away on his own and goes to the astronomy tower. Some of the time, he gets to the astronomy tower without being noticed by anyone. Some of the time he got found by Roman or Logan before he gets to the astronomy tower which leads to him being told off for sneaking away. However, most of the time he ended up in the same position he ends up in today.

Anyway back to the story. Virgil was walking towards the astronomy tower. The corridors were empty or so Virgil thought. Virgil was humming the song "Teenagers" by panic at the disco when

BANG!

He was pushed into the walk hard. Virgil grabbed his head in pain before looking at his attacker, well attackers. Standing in front of him was Remus Royalty and Janus Grant or as everyone at Hogwarts called them The duke and Deceit. Janus was smirking at Virgil that made his stomach so summer salts while Remus was laughing crazily. " Heya virgin!" Remus laughs loudly. Virgil doesn't say anything, just glares. "Aren't you going to say hi back to your ex, storm? that's very nice of you if you do" Janus said still smirking. Virgil pushed himself off the wall before growling out "What do you want?". This somehow made Remus laugh louder that scared Virgil. However, Virgil tried to hide it. "Well, we are just giving you a welcome back gift, aren't we Remus?" Janus lied smoothly, Remus nods quickly. Virgil tries to back away before anything happened by he wasn't quick enough.

Remus hit Virgil to the floor with a malice that had somehow just appeared in his hands. Virgil looks up to Remus and Janus, trembling. Remus and Janus just laugh and start beating him up. Remus was using his mace, feet and hands to hurt Virgil like he always do and Janus just used a cutting spell every now and then.

Black dots started to appear in Virgil's vision as more and more pain filled his body. Suddenly but very faintly he started to hear his friends footsteps getting closer and the sounds of their voices getting louder. "Remus we need to stay before they don't see us" Janus whispered pulling Remus away "Things are going to get better very soon and you won't see us again". They both then run off together.

"VIRGIL!"

Was the last thing Virgil heard before everyone went black.
