Sheeva: Shang Tsung no longer has need of you.
Cyrax: What do you mean?
Sheeva: He is terminating your agreement. And you!
(Cyrax and Sheeva fight as Cyrax wins using his Fatal blow.)
Cyrax: I need to have a word with your master.
Baraka: This fight is not over.
Cyrax: You mean to defeat me? You couldn't even stop the actor!
(Cyrax fights Baraka and wins using his Net.)
Cyrax: Now this fight is over. Shang Tsung has turned against me. I need to find out why.

(Cyrax walks through the door to see Sektor and Shang Tsung talking and walks over to them.)
Cyrax: Sektor, we need to talk. Our host here tried to have me killed.
Shang Tsung: You were speaking with the thunder god. Your indiscretion has jeopardized my plans.
Sektor: Cyrax is Lin Kuei. He will complete his task.
Shang Tsung: We shall see. The next match will be Cyrax... versus Johnny Cage.
Johnny: What me? Alright. Not everyone gets to rumble with a Celebrity. Ready for you beatdown, Sunshine? Here it comes!
(Cyrax and Johnny fight with Cyrax winning with a combo attack.)
Cyrax: That should shut you up.
Shang Tsung: Finish him!
(Cyrax grabs Johnny by the neck then gets ready to finish him. He hesitates and looks over at Raiden who shakes his head no.)
Cyrax: I won't kill him.
(And drops Johnny down. Cyrax walks away as Sektor follows.)

Sektor: You we're commanded to kill Johnny Cage. You disobeyed.
Cyrax: I eliminated him from the tournament. He didn't need to die.
Sektor: You have broken your oath.
Cyrax: I used my judgment!
Sektor: The Cyber Initiative will eliminate insubordination.
Cyrax: We are not machines, Sektor. I chose to serve the Lin Kuei. But I will not surrender my free will!
(Cyrax and Sektor fight and Cyrax wins by punching Sektor.)
Cyrax: Tell the Grand Master I'm done.
Sektor: No one leaves the Lin Kuei...
(Cyrax kicks Sektor in the face knocking him out and walks away.)
