(Kung Lao and Liu Kang enter the tower looking for Kitana.)
Kung Lao: I hope your girlfriend is worth Lord Raiden's anger, Liu Kang.
Liu Kang: Notice I am ignoring you.
(They stop and look around not seeing Kitana anywhere.)
Kung Lao: Hmm... They must have relocated Kitana.
(Suddenly Noob Saibot and Sheeva walk through their doors to see Kung Lao and Liu Kang there.)
Noob Saibot: We have indeed. We knew someone would come for her.
(Liu Kang and Kung Lao nod as Liu Kang walks over to fight Sheeva and Kung Lao goes over to fight Noob Saibot.)
Noob Saibot: May you join her in death!
(Kung Lao and Noob Saibot fight with Kung Lao winning using a hat trick.)
Kung Lao: Be thankful I chose not to spill your tainted blood. Who are you? You look... familiar.
(Kung Lao looks back as he sees Sheeva punch Liu Kang in the stomach.)
Kung Lao: Do you need help? Four arms against two is hardly a fair fight.
(Suddenly the doors open to see Goro standing there.)
Goro: LIU KANG?! AAAAHHHHHH!
Kung Lao: You have had your match with Liu Kang. Now you will face me!
(Kung Lao and Goro fight with Kung Lao winning using a fatal blow.)
Kung Lao: Now if you have any honor left... You will tell us where Kitana is!
Goro: She has been taken to the Coliseum along with Skarlet, where they no doubt have been executed.
Liu Kang: You lie!
(Says Liu Kang as he stomps on Goro's face, knocking him out.)
Kung Lao: Another one of Shao Kahn's minions turned. We must go before they are both executed.
(Liu Kang nods his head as he and Kung Lao run away heading to the Coliseum.)

(Ermac punches Johnny's bruised face as he continues to beat Johnny up. Johnny then tries to kick but Ermac catches the kick and breaks Johnny's leg and face palms Johnny in the face as Ermac once again wins the fight.)
Shang Tsung: Ermac wins!
(Liu Kang and Kung Lao stop and looks.)
Kung Lao: Look there is Kitana and Skarlet.
Liu Kang: I must free her!
(He says and as he and Liu Kang walk, Raiden walks towards them and says.)
Raiden: Not now! Smoke, Kenshi, Rain, and now Johnny Cage have been defeated, and I no longer sense Jackson Briggs' or Sonya Blade's presence in Outworld. Despite my doubts as to weather you are Earthrealm's savior, you must fight!
(He says as they stop walking.)
Liu Kang: But I am not He Who Must Win.
(He says as he turns to Kitana and the Tarkatans who surrounds her.)
Shao Kahn: Raiden! Put forth a worthy Champion.... If you can.
(Kung Lao takes a step when he suddenly stops and looks at Raiden.)
(Raiden then looks at Kung Lao.)
Raiden: Perhaps you are meant to be the victor.
(Kung Lao nods and steps up.)
