Repayed Favor: Jax

(Liu Kang walks down isle to Raiden as he bows down and Raiden does the same. A Shaolin monk then comes with a metal and Raiden takes it and puts it on Liu Kang as everyone claps.)

(As Raiden and Jax watch from distance they have a talk.)

Raiden: I do not understand why my amulet is further damaged. He must win.... if not Liu Kang, then who?
Jax: Ya got me. Not sure anybody coulda done what he did. Made Shang Tsung look like a Chump.
Raiden: Here to congratulate us on our victory, sorcerer?

(Raiden says as Shang Tsung walks towards them.)

Jax: What? Shang Tsung?!
Raiden: You have been revitalized, I see. I didn't realize your master was in the habit of rewarding failure.
Shang Tsung: The Emperor has an offer, Raiden. A new tournament.
Raiden: I see no reason to participate in any plan of yours.
Shang Tsung: The Emperor proposes a single tournament, to replace the current system of ten. It will be held in Outworld. If Earthrealm does not win, Outworld will absorb it. But if Earthrealm wins. Shao Kahn will abandon his Claim to it forever.

(Raiden looks back at the Shaolin monks not taking any of Shang Tsung's bs series.)

Raiden: Give your Emperor my regards.

(Suddenly a portal opens revealing Tarkatans running through the portal and attacking the Shaolin. Raiden attacks Shang Tsung while Jax jumps down ready to fight Tarkatans. He then Punches a Tarkatan while another one tries to hit him. He counters and head buts him. He counters another and Punches him in the face and Knees him in the neck and steps on his face as two Tarkatan soldiers punch Jax in the face and kick his head to the ground as finally another steps on his face knocking him out.)

Raiden: He gained a momentary advantage during our Kombat and escaped. I now realize what we must do.

(Jax wakes up.)

Jax: Anybody get the number o' that— Wait. Were is Sonya?
Raiden: Shang Tsung has taken her.
Kenshi: Should have killed him when I got the chance.
Jax: We gotta find her!
Kung Lao: We must follow them!
Raiden: Shang Tsung has made it very clear that Earthrealm will be under constant threat unless I agree to another tournament.
Kenshi: Than I guess we know what you must do.
Raiden: Yes we do.

(Raiden then has another Vision.)

Jax: Another Vision?
Raiden: Yes I saw Liu Kang win the proposed Tournament. I believe we must attend. But my earlier vision, of your victory over Shang Tsung, was not the solution I sought. Therefore this premonition must show an event I need to change. Perhaps "he must win" refers to another. Hear me, Elder Gods! I accept the terms proposed by Shao Kahn!

(Golden light once again strikes down then disappears.)

Raiden: We go to Outworld.

(Shao Kahn sits on his throne while Kitana, Jade, Amora, and Ace stand on one side while Skarlet, Reiko, and Shang Tsung stand on the other. Goro walks up to Shao Kahn as Shao takes the simple from Goro's hand and holds it up. Then puts it back down on Goro's hand and he and Sheeva walk away.) my

Jax: I assume that's the big man himself.
Johnny: The wrestler guy? With Cow skull on his head? And why aren't the Kung Fu twins here helping us?
Raiden: I sent Liu Kang and Kung Lao to free there Shaolin masters. I expected Sonya Blade to be here with Shang Tsung.
Kenshi: Seeing how much men and women he has serving him, getting through them to get Sonya won't be easy.
Jax: She better not have a scratch on her.
Raiden: Wait! This is a Tournament!
