Finally, the day has come. I'm going to school.

I'm so nervous I think I'll be sick.

"And here I was wondering if you overslept..." Kaden chuckles amusedly as he walks inside my room with no care in the world. Has it been so long he got worried?

"I'm sorry, I'm just... anxious." I pace around the room, trying to remember if I packed everything. I've already checked my backpack five times, but I can't, for the life of me, remember what I packed. It also took me over an hour to choose something to wear so I don't stick out from the crowd too much. I ended up taking a maroon long-sleeved shirt, dark jeans and my favorite boots I got from Mrs Knight. I finished the look with a black coat but I'm starting to think about exchanging it for a white one.

"You're overthinking again. - Kaden stops me from going to my closet by grabbing my arm lightly - You look great. In fact, you look absolutely delicious and I want to kiss you senseless." His voice becomes a low whisper as his eyes focus on my lips. It's barely seven in the morning and he's already so... cheesy.

"Did you eat some grilled cheese or something?" I tease, locking my fingers with his and swing our arms happily to distract him from my face.

"Are you calling me cheesy?" You catch on quickly.

"Maybe." I giggle.

"Well, I learned from the best, so..." Kaden shrugs noncommittally, pulling me out of the room but not before grabbing my backpack. Does he intend to carry it for me?

"Now let's go have some nice breakfast. It's important to eat well before a long day."

"Oh yeah? Who told you that?" I laugh at his serious tone.

"Try to guess." He chuckles, giving me a deadpan look. Of course it was his parents who taught him this, who else?

"Oh my god, I hate waking up this early..." We hear Gio groan tiredly as we pass by his room. I almost laugh at his disheveled state. It's clear he's just rolled out of bed.

"Did you just wake up?" I decide to ask him, getting a yawn in response.

"Yeah. - he mutters, rubbing his eyes sleepily - Hey, Kade, maybe we can ask mom to let us be home-schooled? I'd rather be tutored by uncle Adrian than wake up this early."

Mom? Uncle? He really adjusted quickly to his new reality. I'm still unable to call Kaden's mom anything but 'Mrs Knight' even though she's been pestering me to change it for a while.

"You're so lazy, I swear to god." Kaden laughs at Gio's grumpy tone before we continue our journey to the dining room, where we find Mr and Mrs Knight cuddling like always, with little Amy babbling adorably as Mr Knight tries to feed her.

I adore watching the Knights in the morning. Mr Knight always keeps his wife on his lap as she holds their baby in her arms. With one arm around his wife, Mr Knight uses the other one to feed Amantha and Mrs Knight. The poor woman can barely do anything by herself, but it's actually adorable how much Mr Knight coddles her.

Will Kaden be the same?

He already is. "Kaden, let me sit on my own!" I admonish when he suddenly pulls me to sit with him. Just like Mr Knight, Kaden spreads his legs a little and sets me on his thigh, as if my weight doesn't even bother him.

"Nope." Kaden grins cheekily, putting his arm around me to keep me in place. Does he intend to do the same thing as his father?! And right in front of his parents too? Damn him!
