Kaden
Shopping? What for? Does my Faye need something? Well, it doesn't matter, I'll take her anywhere she wants.
"When do you want to go?" I smile warmly, getting an excited grin from my Fairy.
"Can we go now?"
"Of course," I nod with a chuckle, getting off the bed to get dressed.
Since Faye is already fully dressed, she only takes her purse and goes to wait for me downstairs. Once I'm also ready, I take the keys to my truck and my wallet then follow after my Faye. She's so excited I can't help but smile at her when I see her bouncing happily by the front door. "Kaden, hurry!" she pleads, and just to tease her, I walk even slower. "You slowpoke, come on!" she quickly gets fed up with my games and comes over to grab my hand and drag me outside. She's so adorable.
"Did you tell our parents we're leaving?" I ask. I always let them know when I go somewhere so they don't worry about me.
"I saw dad and told him." Great. He'll tell mom and then she'll interrogate me.
As always, I help my Faye get in the car, because I'm worried she'll break her leg due to how big the car is, and then we're on our way. "And where does my Fairy want to go?"
"Do you know any good mall?"
"Of course I do," I chuckle then start the car and drive away.
We reach the mall in less than an hour and as soon as the car stops, Faye unbuckles her belt and grabs both her and my things, telling me to hurry up. Her excitement is really endearing, I have to admit. She finds joy in everything, no matter how small, and it makes me want to grant all her wishes then kiss her endlessly.
Since I have no idea what exactly Faye wants to buy, I'm left following her like a lost puppy as she goes from one store to another in search of god-knows-what. Thank god I'm not weak, or my arms would've fallen off from all the bags Faye made me carry. How many things is she planning to buy? And who are they for?
We spend four hours at the mall and by the time my Faye is finished with her shopping spree, I have over ten bags in my hands and I think I've lost feeling in my fingers about two hours ago.
"Kaden, come take a look at this," Faye beckons at me as she searches through some baby clothes.
"What is it?"
"I can't decide between this red onesie and this blue one," she shows me both pieces. "What color does Amantha like the best?"
"Black,"
"Black is not a color, it's a shade," Faye scoffs, rolling her eyes at me.
"Maybe, but she still likes it best," I shrug. "Whenever mom puts on something black, she can't get away from Amy."
"Hmm... but is it a good idea to buy her a black onesie as a gift? It's her birthday..."
"So you're looking for a present for Amantha... How about getting her a fluffy doll she'll be able to grab all she wants?" I suggest with a teasing smirk, but my joke goes straight over Faye's head as she starts searching for plushies.
"It's actually not a bad idea," I hear her mutter under her breath. "How about this one?" she shows me a black fluffy wolf toy. What a coincidence. A wolf toy for a wolf's mate.
"It's great. Really fitting," I can't help but laugh.
"I thought so too. I'll get it," Faye smiles. "And are you getting her something?"
"I've already ordered her gift, it'll be delivered tomorrow," I tell her. "But I still haven't gotten a gift for mom and dad's anniversary."
"Oh, that's right, there's that! I almost forgot to get them something," Faye panics and rushes to pay for the plushie and a pair of cute shoes for Amantha before we go to another store. It's one of my parents' favorites. Dad always buys gifts for mom here. I wonder if Faye knew that before she decided to come here.
