Finally, it's time for the party. My whole day was spent preparing for it with the help of the girls from the hotel and trying to hide myself from Kaden, who kept following me around like a lost puppy. After he heard about the incident at the mall and we failed to ask Thea about changing us into Undeads, Kaden has stayed with me at all times, not leaving me alone for even a moment. As adorable as it is, I need to get ready for the biggest party in my life and his hovering around me doesn't really help.

"Jesus Christ, he's gonna wear the floor down if he keeps pacing like this," Simone jokes playfully as she puts on her heels and checks herself in the mirror. The girls have prepared a room for all of us to change in so no one knows what we're going to look like. Kaden found it funny at first, but soon changed his tune when he realized that I am also included in the group. He's been pacing by our door for almost an hour now, unable to come in but also incapable of leaving.

He's so cute when he gets like this. He's just the perfect amount of overbearing, if that makes sense.

"Leave him be," Leanne smiles mischievously. "It's not like he's the only one who's behaving like this," she glances pointedly at Veronica, who's fidgeting nervously while Kalra tries to fix her hair.

"I bet Charlie is the same as Kaden, too," Kalra adds with a smirk, earning a bashful smile from Evelyn. Since it's already known that Evelyn and Charlie are dating, they no longer sneak around and openly show off their affection. Much to my surprise, Kaden seemed to see this as a challenge or something, and became even more touchy and affectionate.

"You can bet he is," Evelyn defends stubbornly. "You have no idea how happy he was that he no longer has to hide from you."

"Oh, we know, we know. He could barely keep away from you during breakfast," Simone chuckles amusedly, but Evelyn only shakes her head in response. "And speaking of guys," she turns to Veronica, "When are we going to meet your mate?"

"He's waiting for me at the Knights' house. He said he wants to use his last chance to play with little Amantha before Mrs Knight kicks his ass."

"Hold on, so he's close with mom? Who is he exactly?" I ask curiously. I know it can't be Mr Lorenzo, or uncle Leo, so who can it be? I hope this situation doesn't end up in a scandal or something.

"I can't tell you yet," Veronica mumbles timidly, but the smile on her face betrays her true feelings. "I'll just tell you that he's the most amazing man I've ever met."

"That's an... interesting statement, considering how many great men you know," Simone smirks smugly.

"Taken men don't count," Veronica rebukes instantly.

"Oh damn, now I really want to know who it is! Just tell us, it's not like you need to keep it a secret, right?" Leanne exclaims, batting her lashes pleadingly at Nica, who only shakes her head.

"Nope. Not a chance. You'll find out at the party," she states with finality.

"Fine, fine. Have it your way," Leanne easily gives up, but I can see that she's still curious. Well, looks like we need to wait until the party begins to find out who stole Veronica's heart. To be honest, I'm really intrigued. Nica said that her mate is here for the party, but she didn't even say whether her mate is a human or a wolf.

Not that it matters to me. I already have my soulmate, so why should I bother with other people? If Nica is sure that the guy who's her mate is right for her, then it's her decision. I have no right to interfere.

"Oh damn, girls, we look fabulous!" Leanne exclaims, whistling in appreciation as she checks herself out in the mirror. I have to say, she's right.

I absolutely love how I look right now. The dress accentuates my soft curves perfectly and the lovely neckline reveals just enough of my cleavage to look sexy but elegant. There are going to be a few hundred people present at the party, so I'd rather avoid any mishaps.
