Part Ten: Fuck.

Marinette's POV

3:05 pm

"Bye, guys!" I said to Mylene, Ivan, Nathaniel and Max. Today was a minimum day at school because some kid broke the school heater and it would be much too cold to spend six hours in a freezing cold classroom. My friends and I spent a few hours at the community garden planting some eggplant and tomato seeds. I don't really like to get my hands dirty with gardening, but I like to do community service and my friends would be there so I decided to go anyway. I glanced down at my Apple watch and looked up the directions to get to the bakery. I had about an eighth of a mile to go, not bad.

I saw Adrien helping Lila with a couple packages and rolled my eyes at her wondering what excuse she pulled to get Adrien to help her with those. He dropped the bigger package and ben down to pick it up. Lila apparently spotted me already because she turned to see and made a talking motion with her right hand. I ignored her and kept walking.

If Lila was so annoyed by Adrien, why did she talk to him, or ask him to help her with packages? Was she such a bitch that she would put up with Adrien just so others wouldn't get to talk to him as much? She really pisses me off.

I took in the beautiful Paris scenery as I walked home. Blooming flowers elegantly perched on window gardens, the sunset was vibrant and relaxing as always, Chat Noir jumping from house to house chasing Shadow Moth, the local pigeons sitting-

Wait, what?!

I quickly searched for the nearest alley, then ducked behind a recycling bin and transformed. "Tikki, spots on!" I said hastily and jumped out of the alley. I flung my yoyo to the chimney of a nearby roof and flew up. "Where is Shadow Moth and Chat Noir?" I muttered to myself.

I immediately spotted a far away spot of black dashing away and followed it. Chat Noir wasn't that fast without a yoyo, so it was easy catching up to him. "Hey, Chat," I said once I was a few meters behind him. "I see you've found Shadow Moth running about." He didn't respond right away and after a few seconds I remembered that we haven't seen each other since I bolted out 8 minutes into the date he prepared for me. It does sound like Chat Noir to still be mad... no offense!

I looked at the indigo speck in the distance getting away and realized a fraction of a second later that he stopped. It looked like he was creating a sentimonster. I attempted to pick up the speed to stop him, but by the time I was even close to him, a dark blue figure was forming in the distance.

I ran towards him, spotting an empty popcorn bag that he must be using to control the sentimonster. As the dark purple clouds cleared around the figure, I saw a regal looking person  dressed in black robes sprinkled with shimmering silver specks. They had a purple and black crown encrusted with cut black diamonds and short boyish hair. They looked like some kind of ruler of darkness or whatever, kind of like a 2018 gacha main character. God, I hope their power isn't singing "Impossible" or "Attention" at the top of their lungs.

When I was one jump away from the villain, they raised me and Chat Noir up into the air with two motions of their arms.

"Let me keep it simple, Ladybug and Chat Noir. I have given this person unlimited power and I can take your miraculouses away from you without having to move a finger. However, I want you to give me them willingly. So-" Shadow Moth said.

"You'll never get our miraculouses!" shouted Chat Noir in anger.

"Chat Noir, you should know you shouldn't interrupting people when they're talking," Hawk Moth reasoned. "All right, change of plans, I'm going to take Chat Noir's miraculous myself and Ladybug has five minutes to decide whether to give back her own miraculous-" Hawk Moth turns his head to his sentimonster partner. "-Or I can just create a universe-sized bomb to kill everyone. Take your pick."

I looked away as the miraculous of the cat slipped off Chat's finger and floated towards Shadow Moth. The last thing I needed was to figure out his identity. I ran off, searching for someone to help with...this. It was definitely something, but nothing I couldn't handle with a helper. I needed someone I could trust, someone I felt-

Alya! There she is! She was sitting on what I believe to be Nino's balcony sipping hot chocolate. I flew over with my yoyo and landed in front of her. She wasn't wearing what Alya usually wore; she had a orange hoodie that was so oversized it was basically a dress. She wasn't wearing her glasses, but that was understandable since she probably about to go to bed.

"I need your help, take this," I said. "Say 'Trixx, let's pounce!'" I usually would go into more detail, but I had five minutes to fix this shit. Didn't have extra time. She complied, and transformed. I explained her power as she followed me towards Shadow Moth.

Alya looked really pretty with the fox miraculous. Her green eyes looked so beautiful with the orange and white mask, her amber hair was soft and silky and kind of smelled like cinnamon sugar, and-

Wait a minute. Alya had brown eyes, but this girl had green eyes. Who was she?

"Can I ask you a question? What is your real name, I mistook you for a girl named Alya I know," I said while running.

She responded, "Lila."
