Part Twelve: MOM?!

🍡Hey everyone! I just wanted to give a small disclaimer that these characters I'm writing about are either 17 or 18. No, this is NOT a smut warning as I don't think I would be that good at it, to be honest. I'm not saying I would never ever do it, just saying I probably won't. Okay, on with the story.🍡

 Lila's POV

7:15 am

My alarm rang way too soon this morning. I stayed up late watching a movie with Ladybug. Yeah, Marinette really does a bad job of hiding her identity. I honestly don't know how, but she's Ladybug she just becomes a whole different person. Y'know, one that doesn't roll her eyes at me? I guess I don't really like when Marinette is hostile towards, not like I really care... or should care. 

I slowly got out of bed and went to the bathroom to put on clothes and brush teeth. I decided to wear my usual outfit (cowgirl boots, gray leggings, spotted jumpsuit and orange-red jacket) with a dark red beanie. After brushing my teeth, I walked to the kitchen to see a note on the dinner table accompanied by a paper bag. It read-

Hey honey, I'm not gonna be home today until 11:30. You can have some friends over, your school lunch is in the paper bag and your dinner is in the fridge.

Mom

I grabbed the paper bag and an apple from the kitchen to eat for breakfast. It was rather typical for Mom to be home late. I actually rarely got to see her at the house. I guess I did get a lot of independence this way. I locked the door from the outside and walked to school.

-Time skip to 11:34-

"Hey," I said to Marinette. It was time to work on our project again in class. Instead of rolling her eyes or ignoring me, Marinette looked and smiled slightly. Okay, this was a good sign. Wait, why is it a good sign again?

"Hello," she said still smiling. This is getting creepy. She's treating me so different and it's weird but I kind of like it but why do I? Oh god, she's giving me a migraine. I took my phone out to text Kagami and Luka.

Lila hey guys, wanna come to my house tonight? we can watch a movie and stuff

Kagami I was just about to text you to invite you to a small party im throwing at my house actually, you can bring a plus one and its at 6:30

Luka Of course, I've already been invited⭐⭐

Lila Sure I'll come

Cool, I've been invited to a party. I don't usually go to parties because it's just more fake social interaction I never choose to deal with. Plus, the music usually sucks... but now I have Kagami and Luka, I guess. 

-Time skip to 5:39-

Okay, time to get ready. Luka dropped off a couple dresses Juleka let me borrow. This was Juleka, so they all were either black, dark purple, or both. Not really my style. Wait, I just got a text!

Luka hey Lila so Kagami told me dresses werent really ur thing so I just dropped off a couple suits there are ur size.

I opened my front door to see a cardboard box. Inside was a purple suit that kind of looked like the one Catra wore that one time in She-Ra. The other was a plain black suit that looked really cool. Before trying them on, I decided to hop in the shower real. I washed my hair with some cinnamon sugar shampoo and coconut conditioner. I always took burning showers because it's just simply the right decision. Fight me.

As I walked out of the shower with a towel and wet hair (my hair looks HORRIBLE wet), Ladybug came in through the window. I shouldn't have let that open.

"Please come in through the door," I mumbled in annoyance. I picked up the plain black suit and went back into the bathroom. "Sorry!" said Ladybug before I closed the door, embarrassed.

After I put on my suit and some black shoes that weren't heels but still pretty fancy. I also slapped on a lesbian pride pin in case of emergency and a little makeup. Just kidding, a pound of eyeshadow was on my face by the time I opened the door.

"Sorry, again," Ladybug said, blushing, which is what I'd be doing if the roles were reversed. I mean seeing anyone with a towel is a pretty big no-no from me.

"Eh, it's okay," I said, brushing it off. "Anyways, what do you need? Is Shadow Moth doing more shit?" She laughed.

"No, actually I was wondering if you wanted to come to the amusement park with me..." Ladybug said bashfully.

"Sorry Ladybug, but I've been invited to a party tonight. I can bring a plus one though..." I said. Her face brightened.

"Sure! I'll go back to my house and change," she said loudly and cheerfully. "Be right back!!" A few minutes passed and Ladybug came back. She was wearing a handmade Ladybug mask but with a pink dress with sleeves that went down a bit below her shoulders. She was wearing cute pink ballet shoes with white pearly earrings and a tiny bit of blush and lip gloss.

"Do you like it? I made the dress myself," she said. Wait, that blush isn't makeup.

"Yeah, it looks awesome," I reassured her. "Oh by the way..."

"Yeah?" Ladybug asked, blushing.

"You forgot to take my miraculous away from me last night. You can have it back," I responded taking out the fox necklace from my jewelry case. 

"Thank you," she said. "You, um, you look beautiful.." She blushed. "Thanks! You look great, too," I replied. "Let's go! My friends are giving me a ride in..." I looked at the clock and it said 6:07. "Oh no, they're already here!" I said looking outside seeing Kagami's car parked on the side of the road. I ran outside dragging Ladybug by the hand.

"Hey guys, I'm bringing..." I paused, lettting Ladybug introduce herself. "Ladybug," she said calmly. "Cool, hop in the back," Kagami responded, pointing behind her. "I have to make a quick stop at the mall before we go. I have to pick up some food for the party."

"I'll come in," I said. "While you get the food I'll window shop a bit."

"I'll come, too!" Ladybug said quickly. "I'll, uh, window shop, too."

Kagami nodded and pulled up to the mall and walked out. "We'll be back in about ten minutes, okay Luka?" He nodded without looking up from his phone. As Kagami, Ladybug and I walked into the mall, I asked Kagami who else was coming to the party.

"Other than you and Luka, I've invited Rose, Juleka, Alya and Nino," she responded. "Do you guys drink?" We quickly shook our head no.

"Good, because the only alcohol I have access to is my mom's, and she'd kill me if I even slightly touched that stuff," Kagami said, relieved.

As we walked over to the Pizza Hut in the mall, I turned to the left to look at other stores. Ladybug followed. "Oooh, they're making a new version of Crooked House!" she said, her gaze turning to the movie theater to the right of Pizza Hut. 

"Oh my god, WHERE?!" I said turning a 180 knocking myself over before realizing there was no new Crooked House. Ladybug laughed like a maniac at my annoyance. "Ha, very funny," I grumbled before spotting a familiar face...

"MOM?!" I said loudly.
